Tribute to virtuous women

In this year 2012 we celebrate 94 years of life of my grandmother. I want by this means to pay homage to all those old ladies, virtuous women, exemplary daughters of the Most High God ; especially to my very beloved maternal grandmother, Emilia.

I will share with you a little of his legacy of faith and obedience, his testimony of exemplary life and his total dedication I have unconditionally to God and to yours. Through the years, many testimonies of women of God have been written, who with their lives have shaped the infinite love of our God and Father to the world. Therefore I want to contribute one more writing to history, that of an exemplary woman, who sowed in many hearts the seed of the incomparable love of God.

The life of my grandmother, and her testimony, will remain in the fibers of my heart as the best model of Christian life of my time. It was through her that I was able to meet my Heavenly Father, and have an intimate and personal relationship with Him.

Her life was full of sacrifices, struggles, trials, and difficulties - like many of us - but she always knew how to handle herself in faith and total dedication to God, showing that in the midst of each one of them God would displace his love and grace, bringing it out victorious, and confirming to the world "that to those who love God, all things work together for good (Romans 8:28).

One of the many difficult trials my grandmother experienced, which reverberated for many years, and had its effect on many of our family members. It was that being their home a Christian couple, the enemy seduced her husband (my grandfather) to go in search of an affair with another woman, thus destroying her home, and leaving her with four adolescent children. Over the years my grandmother always remained faithful to her God. Devoting herself to her children, she never remarried, left alone with the memories of her first boyfriend, her husband, and the only man with whom she shared a relationship in her entire life.

My grandmother forgave my grandfather and his new partner from the beginning. I remember with great nostalgia, when I was a child, seeing my grandfather and his partner visit my grandmother's house, and she very normal and full of mercy received them, and said goodbye to them with a “God bless you”. I even remember sometimes hearing my grandmother pray for their salvation. Although at that time I did not understand it, I even suffered when I saw that scene, it was they who formed the image of a forgiving God in my life.

My grandmother always knew how to model the values of Biblical teachings. For his conduct and testimony he received the respect and admiration of his community, which stopped to listen to his advice, and they even sought him out to intercede in prayer for them. She was the instrument the Lord used to bring future generations to Him.

At present my grandmother is elderly, her body tired and weak from years and life, but still today with her voice trembling and without strength, she sings to God those hymns that in the past were her confessions of faith to proclaim victory in her life. lifetime.

I praise and glorify my God for the great privilege of having given me in my grandmother a powerful example of love and dedication to Him. In prayer I ask Him to bless her and that His grace continue to accompany her the rest of her days. The Lord also bless all those old women who have left a legacy of teachings of the love and power of God in theirs.
