God's exuberant love

RESUMEN: A preacher wrote messages on the beach for his wife but she missed them due to distractions. The preacher reminds us of how we may miss God's calls in our lives due to distractions. He encourages us to take time to be silent and listen to the Holy Spirit. He prays for a hunger and thirst for God's presence in our lives.

I listened to a preacher share this anecdote: One cool summer afternoon, he was walking with his wife on the beach and while she was walking slowly he came forward, looked for a stick and wrote in the sand with very large letters 'I love you' later He wrote 'you are the most beautiful woman' and he walked further and wrote 'without you I am empty'. Then he sat on a rock to watch her to see her reaction to each message. As she was getting closer to the first message, a seagull passed by and she was entertained by looking at it and did not see the message. He thought, well she'll read the other two. He continued walking and he was waiting for him to read the second message and observe his expression; Unfortunately, because he was watching the waves of the sea, he passed by the second message; the same happened with the third message. When she approached where he was, he mentioned to her, a little annoyed, that he had written some messages in the sand and she went unnoticed, and did not see them.

Then she ran back to the second message to read what it was about and then the third and then she ran to him, hugged him and kissed him with great joy, what followed did not share ... The wife of this anecdote felt flattered, she felt special for the expressions of love of her husband that although he loves her, his love does not compare with the infinite and eternal love of God.

I wonder how many times the Lord called us and insists trying to communicate with us but we don't pay attention. God's word says that with cords of love he drew us (Hosea 11: 4). But on many occasions the worries, commitments, friendships even our family distract us and we do not perceive their loving calls and even less their presence around us. How difficult it is to take time out of our daily routine to be silent and listen to the Holy Spirit who continually longs for us. Perhaps it is difficult for you to turn off the radio or the music; What if you change the tune and listen to praise of worship to enter the presence of God. Then you will learn to connect with the stream of Heavenly Father and to enjoy his presence.

Heavenly Father I ask you to put in the hearts of each brother and friend who reads this message, hunger and thirst for your presence. Unleash an intense need to set aside time to be with you, not only to bring our requests but to delight ourselves in your presence and learn to listen to you.
