Does God know?
Awilda GonzalezSUMMARY:
The title of today's message is "Does God Know?" The passage being discussed is Hosea 8:1-4, where God says that the people of Israel had chosen kings and princes without His approval, and in the original language, it says, "I didn't know it." However, this doesn't mean that God is unaware of what's going on in our lives, but rather that we have neglected to seek His approval and consult Him in our decision-making.
The reason why Israel had neglected to consult God was that they had rebelled against Him and had an inconsistency between what they said and what they did. There needs to be a harmony between our words and actions. Additionally, sometimes we are afraid to ask God about something because we are afraid of His answer, or we've been emotionally wounded and struggle to approach God intimately.
The solution to this is to open up to God about every area of our lives, seek His approval and guidance, and trust that He knows what's best for us. We need to value the love and care that God has for us and have an intimate relationship with Him.
The speaker discusses the importance of being honest with God and not hiding anything from Him. They explain that sometimes we hide things because we are deceived by the enemy or because we don't have an intimate relationship with God. However, it is important to ask ourselves if God occupies the first place in our lives and if we trust Him with our hidden areas. The speaker emphasizes the need to obey the Word of God and recognize and avoid setting up idols in our hearts. They encourage listeners to appeal to the mercy of God and consult everything with Him before making decisions. The speaker shares a story about a woman who appealed to God's mercy and was healed physically and spiritually. The speaker prays for listeners to draw near to God and consult everything with Him.And the title for what we are going to share today, it is entitled: Does God know? I invite you to go to the book of Hosea in the Old Testament chapter 8, we will read verses 1 to 4. Father: we give You thanks for Your Presence in this place. We've come here to worship You and bless Your Name, we've come also to hear Your Word. Open our hearts taking every though captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus so that the Word that You sent to us today will accomplish the purpose for which You sent it. Amen.
Hosea chapter 8 verses 1 to 4 says: “Put the trumpet to your lips! An eagle is over the house of the Lord, because the people have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law.
