RESUMEN: The Thanksgiving service is a tradition where we come together to give thanks to God for His provision and care, similar to the ancient Hebrews who came before God periodically to give offerings of thanks. In many nations, the time of harvest is a time of Thanksgiving. We are called to be an evangelistic presence for the Kingdom of God in our city and nation and to serve as an agent of life and renewal for the community. We are primarily an immigrants congregation, and we can shine as light and healing in our society. God uses this Church to serve the community in various ways. Generosity and gratitude are essential virtues for serving the Kingdom of God and the communities we are in. The pattern of offerings in the Old Testament was atonement offerings followed by thanksgiving and fellowship offerings. In Chronicles 16, King David invites people to sing to the Lord, give to the Lord from their resources, and worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. When we come forward to give our offering, we express gratitude for what God has done and will do in the coming years.

The sermon is about giving thanks to God for all that He has done, including material provisions and better employment, and for what He will do in the future. The pastor emphasizes the importance of recognizing that everything comes from God's hand and prays for God to complete the good work He has begun among them.

As you know we gather here for something and it’s the second time we have done this and it’ll hopefully become a type of tradition in the best sense of that word among us where we gather to say: thank You to God with an offering to Him of Thanksgiving.

And we connect with the people of God throughout thousands of years starting with the ancient hebrews that came before God periodically, in an intentional way come before His Presence in the tabernacle to give an offering of Thanksgiving for what God had done in their lives.
