A heart of gratitude

Samuel Acevedo
(Audio: Spanish)

SUMMARY: In Luke 17:11-19, Jesus heals ten lepers, but only one returns to thank and glorify God. The man was a Samaritan, showing that God's blessings are not based on religious background or merit, but on the condition of the heart. The man's attitude of gratitude and celebration strengthened his faith and made him whole. The speaker encourages us to not treat God like a vending machine, but to seek a deeper, more genuine relationship with Him and to remember and celebrate the blessings He has given us in our lives.

The speaker encourages the audience to praise and thank God for everything he has done for them, as it encourages God to perform miracles and exalts his name. Even in difficult times, it is important to remember the past blessings that God has given and to trust that he will continue to provide. The speaker also encourages evangelism and sharing one's personal experiences of God's love and provision with others. The audience is invited to take a moment to thank God for something specific that he has done for them.

We go before the presence of the Lord and one of the things that I have asked before the Lord for my life and for us tonight is that we learn to enjoy a life with the Lord that is more than merely superficial. Perhaps you are here and you can confess "the Lord took me from where I was for many years in chains, imprisoned in life" but perhaps God wants something more for you, even after that, the Lord has healed you from great things, but there is more that the Lord wants for you. And you know what? You yourself realize that you have been living in a superficial way and you can't find what you need.

Perhaps there is a key that the Lord wants to give you tonight and I want to explore it a little. The idea of a heart of gratitude and the secret of living celebrating the presence of the Lord tonight. And I invite you to Luke chapter 17, verse 11. A story that perhaps many of us have read. Luke chapter 17, verse 11. I'll give you a little background on this. A couple of weeks ago we had a special, extraordinary service, a fact that it was not part of our order of service as a brother wanted to bring him, offer the Lord a service dedicated to celebrating a miracle that the Lord did in his life, in the life of his son.
