Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.(Números 3:13)

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,(Números 3:14)

Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.(Números 3:15)

And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

And these were the sons of Levi by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.(Números 3:17)

And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei.(Números 3:18)

And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.(Números 3:19)

And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried: (Deuteronomio 21:5)

These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. (Números 4:37)

According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses. (Números 4:49)
