Turn and Live

Ezekiel 33:11 • John 3:21

Six days gone, the year began to gleam Old habits call, a fading, weary dream The mirror shows a soul that's lost its way Believing strength has failed another day Am I too far? Has hope run out of time? Stuck in the shadows of my own dark climb.

So turn, my soul, don't let the moment die! A kinetic spin beneath a watchful sky! He takes no joy in seeing shadows fall, But yearns for life, He's making the call! A sharp U-turn, from death's familiar hold, Step into light, a story to unfold!

I stumble forth, believing I must strive, To find the strength to truly come alive. But then a whisper, gentle as the dawn, "Your turning isn't something solely drawn From weary will, but a divinely sparked desire, A truth that burns with God's own holy fire."

No endless striving, no performance art, Just grace that mends a broken, yearning heart. The very power to step out of the night, Is woven deep, in God's own radiant light. This U-turn's a gift, a pathway freely shown, To step into the life that is His own.

So turn, my soul, don't let the moment die! A kinetic spin beneath a watchful sky! He takes no joy in seeing shadows fall, But yearns for life, He's making the call! A sharp U-turn, from death's familiar hold, Step into light, a story to unfold!

Why will you die? Why linger in the grey? Turn now, turn now, and live this very day! Come to the light, let all your deeds be seen, Wrought in His grace, forever pure and keen. Turn and live, turn and live, right now!
