Yahweh came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel said, Speak; for your servant hears. — 1 Samuel 3:10
But I say, didn't they hear? Yes, most assuredly, "Their sound went out into all the earth, Their words to the ends of the world." — Romans 10:18

Summary: Let us learn to listen to God’s voice amid the many voices vying for our attention: the voice of the world, the enemy, and our own self. When we heed those voices, we often end up anxious, frustrated, or discouraged. By contrast, listening to what God tells us brings peace, confidence, calm, and joy. Therefore, let us open our inner ears and pay attention: God is continually speaking to us.
There is nothing better than learning to listen to God. Many voices call for our attention. On the one hand, we have the voice of the world; on the other, the voice of the enemy; and as if that were not enough, the voice of our own “self.” All these voices continually shout and whisper things in our ears. Many times, after paying attention to those voices, we end up feeling anxious, frustrated, and discouraged. What a difference it is when God speaks! When we listen to what God tells us, the feeling is completely different; it is a feeling of peace, confidence, tranquility, and joy.
Let us open our inner ear and learn to listen to God; He is continually speaking to us.
