for your children

Dr. Roberto Miranda
(Audio: Spanish)

SUMMARY: In Deuteronomy 11, God commands the Hebrew people to love Him and obey His commandments. He promises to bless them if they do so, providing rain and prosperity. The speaker suggests that the Latino community can apply this principle by living lives that reflect the love and values of God's kingdom. By doing so, they can put spiritual pressure on rulers to change their hearts and make just decisions regarding immigration. The speaker emphasizes the importance of teaching children these values by first embodying them in our own lives and studying the Word of God.

The speaker encourages parents to prioritize their spiritual lives and fill their homes with the values of the Kingdom of God to raise God-fearing children in a culture hostile to those values. He emphasizes the importance of creating a positive atmosphere in the home that reflects Christian values, even in difficult moments. Parents have a sacred responsibility to their children and must prioritize their well-being over their own desires. The speaker also encourages working on marriages to ensure they are a positive influence on children. Overall, the focus is on the importance of the home as a place of spiritual nourishment and formation for children.

The speaker encourages parents to prioritize their marriages and make sure their homes reflect the values of the Kingdom of God. They emphasize the importance of being a shepherd and mentor to children, whether biological or not. The speaker reminds listeners to forgive themselves for mistakes and to trust in God's forgiveness and guidance. They pray for blessings and prosperity for the congregation and their families, and for the church to be an exemplary and missionary community.

I invite you to go to the Book of Deuteronomy, it is one of those books that sometimes we do not read much in the Old Testament, but it has a lot to teach us. Part of the Pentateuch, it is actually the last book of the first five books of the Bible, which are the books assigned to Moses, as if they were written by Moses and recounts the entire early history of the Hebrew people on their pilgrimage through the desert. and the laws, commandments and principles they received from God.

As they strengthened and established themselves as a new nation that God was founding. And in those books God lays down the spiritual principles by which you must live as a nation. And there in Chapter 11, we go to verse 13 before -inclusive- because I think it gives a context of what I want to talk about, which is above all how to raise spiritually and intellectually healthy children. Let them reflect those values that Sarah Gautier spoke to us about this morning and that she reflects as a very special young woman.
