God speaks today Tuesday | February 18, 2025

As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? (Psalm 42:10)
And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? (John 11:37)

When God speaks to you, don't be incredulous

In John 11, some people doubted Jesus' power to heal Lazarus and prevent his death, despite knowing of His miracles. These doubters had a hardened heart and were not open to the power of the Holy Spirit. However, others who witnessed Jesus' miracle believed in Him and were open to His power. The difference between these two groups shows that the works of God can either bless or curse us, depending on our openness and faith. We should strive to be tender and teachable people, open to the Word and works of God. Read more...

Carlos A. Borja Flores: Christianity should not be intellectual, nor should we wait for God to act when we want. God's timing is different from human timing. By this means, I want to once again thank God, because He was with me once again, in a surgical intervention, and God acting in the hands of doctors, who perhaps do not believe in God; but everything was successful. I am currently recovering. This is the second operation I have had. In both cases, they did not happen at the time I expected, but when God arranged it; and, in both cases, they were successful. How wonderful it is to have a God who acts at the opportune moments, as was the case of the resurrection of Lazarus.

Rodolfo Quirós Ramirez : What a beautiful word. It reflects to us that the Lord God works in different ways. We always know that He is powerful, and His mercy is inexhaustible. As human beings, many times we pray that the Lord does what we are asking Him to do. But many times He works differently than we are. And His word tells us that He always works for our good. I tell you this brothers, with the loss of my wife. I asked Him for healing for her. But He had other plans. And He took her away. I know that He worked for the good of her and the family. Luis Alfredo Ramirez Cano: So where did he get all these things? And they were scandalized because of him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is honored everywhere, except in his own country and in his own house. 58 And because of their unbelief, he did not do many mighty works there. And James tells us: My brothers, consider it great joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Trials are part of our growth. Our faith in the Lord must be full, total, unconditional, as well as His love for us. Faith is the conviction of things not seen, the certainty of things to come. God declared our healing, by His stripes we were healed. He forgave our sins, gave us eternal life. He knows our needs before we ask Him. His blessings are above all our expectations. God is a God of impossibilities. His promises are ours, for He is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should change His mind.
Luis Alfredo Ramírez Cano, your words reflect a deep understanding of faith and the importance of keeping it firm even in the midst of trials. It is true that sometimes we face situations that test our faith, but as you mention, it is in those trials that our patience and spiritual growth is strengthened. Your quote from James reminds us of the importance of staying firm in faith, trusting that the trials we go through lead us to greater maturity and fullness in Christ. Your reflection on the certainty of what is to come and the unwavering promises of God is inspiring and invites us to trust in His faithfulness and unconditional love. May your testimony and conviction in God's promises continue to be a source of strength and hope for you and those around you. May full and total faith in the Lord guide us at all times, reminding us that His power and love overcome any situation we face. May His grace and blessings continue to abound in your life!
