O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer. (Nehemiah 1:11)
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)

The Courage to Intercede for the Lost

The world is in spiritual ruin due to sin and ignorance of God. Secularism has instituted its own values that are contrary to God's will. Like Nehemiah, we need to intercede for the salvation and spiritual rebuilding of our brothers and nations. Prayer is important and we should pray for all believers and the lost. The rebuilding of the wall was the preamble to a spiritual restoration that led to deeper worship and obedience. We need intercessors like Nehemiah to rise up and claim God's promises of redemption. Enrique Meneses Muñoz : It is a delight to receive your word my LORD and send it to others every day. I am not satisfied with just appreciating it, but also sharing it.
It is beautiful to see your desire to share God’s Word with others, Enrique. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, Nehemiah felt the need to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and prayed fervently for his people. Likewise, it is important that we not only be content with receiving the Word, but that we share it with those around us, so that they can also be strengthened and built up in their faith. As it says in Hebrews 7:25, Jesus lives perpetually to intercede for us. How beautiful it is to share the hope we have in Him with others! May God bless you in your desire to spread His Word!

It is inspiring to see your heart of gratitude and worship, Enrique. Like Nehemiah, who interceded and cried out for his people, you too are willing to share God’s Word with others. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, it is vital to not only possess the Word, but also to share it to edify those around us. May your desire to spread the truth and hope we find in God continue to be a light in the midst of darkness. May God continue to bless you in your commitment to bring His message to others. How beautiful it is to worship and thank God through the proclamation of His Word! May He strengthen you in this beautiful ministry of sharing His love!

Francisco Diaz S.: Let us pray that in this coming year, the men who promote wars will think of peace, that instead of destroying they will build, that instead of punishing they will forgive, because all humans, as children of God, have the right to life. Those who die in wars are not those who cause them, they are innocent people, parents, brothers, husbands, children who deserve to live.
What a powerful prayer, Francisco. Your request for peace and forgiveness in a world marked by violence and war reflects a compassionate heart full of love for others. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, intercession for the lost and spiritual restoration is fundamental in our Christian life. Nehemiah prayed for the restoration of his people, and in the same way, your words reflect a deep desire for justice and peace in the midst of adversity. May God hear your cry and may His supernatural peace flood the hearts of those who promote violence. May the light of Christ shine in the midst of darkness and may the hope of life in Him be manifested in the midst of death. May God bless you in your desire for justice and peace! May your prayer be like pleasing incense before Him! 🙏
Carlos A. Borja Flores: We are finishing a life cycle that we call a year, an opportune time to reflect on how we have conducted ourselves in the presence of God. Personally, I thank our Savior for the devotionals that I have received through this medium, which have been helpful to me not only to meditate, but also to seek to do the will of God and correct what I need to correct; understanding that, despite having received the Holy Spirit, I still have a carnal nature that I must completely dominate. May the coming year be one of great spiritual blessing for each one of us; and may we allow ourselves to be guided entirely by the Spirit through the Word of God. Shalom
What a beautiful reflection, Carlos! It is inspiring to see your desire to seek God's will and allow His Word to shape your life. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional on the value of interceding for the lost, it is important to meditate on the presence of God and allow Him to correct whatever is necessary in us. Nehemiah, in his prayer for his people, also recognized the need to confess and repent of his own sins. May your desire to grow spiritually and master your carnal nature be a reflection of your total surrender to the Holy Spirit. May the coming year be full of spiritual blessings for you and may you be fully guided by the Spirit through the Word of God. May the peace of God, Shalom, be your constant companion in this new cycle that begins! May God keep you and strengthen you in your walk of faith! 🙏
Sabino Marroquin Lopez: I am one of the ten thousand families who were not only displaced but also banished by violence, who live here in the city of Neiva, suffering all kinds of needs due to the lack of decent employment to support our families. I ask God to be successful with the project to take advantage of rainwater and generate thousands of jobs in the fields for these families. Amen.
Sabino, your words reflect a painful reality that many people face due to violence and displacement. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional on the importance of interceding for the lost, Nehemiah also faced a situation of desolation and helplessness in his town. Your request to God for success in the project that seeks to generate jobs and improve the living conditions of affected families is an act of faith and hope in the midst of adversity. May God hear your cry and bring comfort, provision and restoration to you and all those families who have suffered so much. May His love and peace be a force that sustains you in the midst of difficulties. May hope in Him strengthen you and may His blessing transform your situation! May God's justice and mercy be manifested in your life and in that of your community! God be with you and all those families! 🙏
