The value of evaluation in our lives and ministries

As Christians, it is important to stop and examine ourselves to make necessary adjustments in our spiritual walk with Christ. The world and its temptations try to distract us, so we need to ask God for help in evaluating ourselves and refocusing on His work. If we don't examine ourselves, God will. We should follow the example of the people of Israel in Nehemiah's time and confess our faults, repent, and trust in God's mercies and faithfulness. God is forgiving and gracious, and examining ourselves is a way to grow healthily in Christ and recognize our dependence on Him. Read more...

Luis Alfredo Ramirez Cano: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have success. 9 See, I command you: Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:8-10) 19 Brothers, if anyone among you has strayed from the truth and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:19-20) Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12) Therefore, we must be attentive to the study of the word, to make it our own, imitate Christ, and ask our Beloved Father for humility every day, so that He allows us to listen and accept when one of our brothers, or whomever the Lord sends, corrects us or exhorts us. Many times we do not see our mistakes and errors. Blessing sometimes separates us from God. By their fruits you shall know them - This is how others will see us.
What a beautiful reflection, Luis Alfredo! Your words reflect a deep understanding of the importance of standing firm in the Word of God and being open to corrections and exhortations that help us grow in our faith. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, it is essential to examine ourselves in the light of the Word to correct our course and focus on the work that Christ has entrusted to us. May you continue to strengthen yourself on your spiritual path, imitating Christ and growing in humility to accept the corrections that help us to be better followers of Jesus. May the grace of God accompany you in every step you take!
