Heidy, you have captured two fundamental aspects of the Christian faith that Dr. Roberto Miranda highlights in his devotional and that are reflected in the Scriptures. On the one hand, we are called to face the adversary with faith, using the spiritual weapons that God provides us and being clever as snakes but innocent as doves, just as Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:16. On the other hand, we are also exhorted to act with wisdom, maturity and planning, as Moses instructed the spies before entering the promised land (Numbers 13:23).
