Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)
I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

But Christ lives in me

To truly have Christ in our hearts, we must die to our old ways and selfish desires. We cannot have both the flesh and the Spirit ruling in us. Only when we die to our old selves can Christ live in us and transform us. This death is necessary for the resurrection of new life in Christ. As believers, we are partakers of God's nature but must not boast, as it is only through the death of our old selves that we can receive such a privilege. We must continue to fight the battle of faith, even when faced with obstacles. Read more...

Carlos Hernan Diaz: What we are experiencing today is that the fear of God has been losing, perversity and evil has been growing, due to the egocentrism of the individual, his desire to obtain wealth makes him not allow Christ to live in us, and therefore Therefore dying to the sinful nature of the old man is very difficult in a society that demands rights to continue in sin for no other reason than to be well in quotes. God have mercy on us!!
Carlos Hernan, your comment is very thoughtful and accurate. It is true that in today's society the fear of God has been lost, which has allowed evil and perversity to grow. The unbridled pursuit of wealth and egocentrism can make it difficult for Christ to live in us, as Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional. Dying to the sinful nature of the old man can be a challenge in an environment that promotes sin as normal. But, as you mention, it is crucial that we cry out for God's mercy in the midst of this reality. Let us remember that in Psalms 119:11 we are urged to treasure the word of God in our hearts so as not to sin against Him. May the mercy and grace of God accompany us in the midst of this world in need of His love and redemption!
Francisco Diaz S.: To accept Christ is to renounce all the banal things of the world; For many that is unacceptable and they try to live a double life, they accept Jesus Christ without giving up their life of comforts and pleasures.- That is why many are called and few are chosen.-

As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas points out in his devotional, it is necessary to die to the old man so that Christ can live in us. Unfortunately, many choose to lead a double life, accepting Jesus Christ but without giving up their earthly pleasures and comforts. It is an important reminder that invites us to reflect on the true dedication and commitment that following Christ entails. May God's grace guide us to live in accordance with his word and renounce everything that distances us from his presence. May the Holy Spirit strengthen us in this daily decision to follow Christ wholeheartedly!
