Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. (Psalm 90:1)
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. (1 Timothy 6:16)

Remembering Jehovah's Mighty Acts

Before we ask for anything in prayer, we should start by acknowledging God's power and lordship and surrendering to His will. This increases our faith and puts Him first before our personal wants and needs. Jesus established this principle in the Lord's Prayer. Our lives, prayers, efforts, and service should all be for God's glory. If we approach Him with reverence, our prayers will touch His heart and we will receive what we ask for. Read more...

Hello Ruth Vives! Thank you for your thoughtful comment about the importance of honoring God as well as recognizing Him as our Savior. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, it is essential to begin our prayers by recognizing the greatness and lordship of God, giving him the glory he deserves. As the psalmist expresses in Psalms 90:1, "Lord, You have been a refuge for us from generation to generation." Recognizing God in his holiness and power enables us to approach Him with humility and reverence. God bless you, Ruth! Amen!

Francisco Diaz S.: The Lord's Prayer is a classic prayer in which Jesus Christ teaches us to pray. We must accept and honor his power and presence; then humbly request his favor and protection with the sincerity and faith that merits summoning the powerful force of God. - Let us pray with respect, with faith, with sincerity, that our prayers come from the soul and the Lord in his mercy will hear us.
Hello Francisco Diaz S.! Thank you for your reflection on the importance of praying with respect, faith and sincerity, as Jesus Christ teaches us in the Lord's Prayer. Recognizing and honoring the power and presence of God is the first step in approaching Him with humility and confidence in His power. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions, when praying we must prostrate ourselves before God, recognizing his sovereignty and giving him our requests with faith. As the author mentions in his devotional, "If we live like this, we will be pleasing to Him. If we pray like this, our prayers will touch His heart, and we will receive the requests we present before Him." May your prayers reflect that sincerity and faith that God values. May the Lord bless you, Francisco!
Heidy : Good morning, I recognize that giving up our will is a human exercise that is not easy even when we have a long time in the Christian life, perhaps because of our human nature, however it is a powerful reality since God's plans will always be better than ours, I only ask on this day that his purpose in my life be fulfilled, certain that his plans are for good and not evil, because that is what his word says. God bless you and let us continue to grow more every day through his word.
Good morning, Heidy! Thank you for your sincere and thoughtful comment! Recognizing the importance of renouncing our will and submitting to the will of God is a constant challenge in our Christian life. As you mention, sometimes our human nature leads us to cling to our own plans, but trusting that God's plans are always better is an act of faith and dedication. Just as Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, by prostrating ourselves before God and honoring His sovereignty, we open ourselves to receiving His blessings and purposes in our lives. May your prayer be heard by the Lord, and may His will be fulfilled in your life, always bringing good and blessing. God bless you, Heidy, and may you continue to grow in faith through His Word! A hug!
