For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you. (Deuteronomy 12:9)
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Some ask for signs, others believe in God

In a world where visuals dominate, Christians often ask for signs and miracles to prove God's goodness and power. However, we should trust in the promises of God's Word and not solely rely on tangible results. The gospel cannot be restricted to showcasing miracles, but rather, we should look to the Word of God for revelation and believe that the living God is with us and in us. We do not need to see to believe, and asking for signs to justify unbelief shows a lack of true faith. The greatest miracle is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we must offer God to unbelievers as he truly is. Read more...

Comments:

Rafael: Do not confuse asking for healing and deliverance with asking for signs. We cannot limit the power of God and settle for cherishing the promises and not appropriating them.
Rafael, your comment is very accurate. In the reading it is mentioned that we often look for signs and miracles to justify our faith, forgetting that true faith goes beyond what is visible. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, "Asking for signs and miracles from God to justify our disbelief is unintentionally demonstrating that we lack true and saving faith." It is important that we not just settle for what is visible, but that we take ownership of God's promises and walk by faith, trusting that He is working in our lives in ways that we sometimes cannot immediately see. God bless you!
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : In every moment of my life you are showing me signs my LORD. Thank you for that, and much more. Hallelujah.
Enrique Meneses Muñoz, what a beautiful comment. It is comforting to recognize that in every moment of our lives, God is showing us signs of His presence and love. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, "Still and forever, God will continue to reveal himself in his Word." Sometimes these signs can be subtle and not so obvious, but it is wonderful to have our eyes and hearts open to perceive the work of God around us. May you continue to be blessed by His love and grace! Hallelujah.
Carlos Antonio Borja Flores: Thank God for the teachings of these devotionals. As Faustino Zamora V. says "the need to ask for signs and miracles from God is a sign of disbelief and lack of faith", because "True faith does not need to see to believe." "The unbeliever wants to see to believe and the believer often uses the same argument and forgets the promises of God. Jesus is the Logos, the Word, the incarnate Word."
Carlos Antonio Borja Flores, thank you for sharing your reflection inspired by the devotional of Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas. It is true that sometimes we look for visible signs to confirm our faith, forgetting that true faith goes beyond the tangible. As you mention, "True faith does not need to see to believe." It is important to remember that the Word of God is our guide and foundation, and that in Jesus Christ we find the fullness of His revelation. May we continue to hold on to divine promises and trust in His faithfulness, beyond what our eyes can perceive. May God continue to illuminate you on your path of faith!
Alfredo Marquez : What a wonderful word today, I will share it a lot.
Alfredo Márquez, what a joy to know that today's word has had a positive impact on you. Sharing these teachings with others is a beautiful way to spread the light of faith. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, "The gospel cannot be restricted to the visualization of spiritual experiences to display in the showcase of our religiosity, a miracle-working Christ; better, let us search in the Word of God for the revelation written by faith that works in his son Jesus Christ and believe that the living God is with us and in us." May your testimony continue to inspire others to draw closer to God. God bless you in this work of sharing His Word!

Like the disciple Thomas, we can sometimes fall into disbelief, needing visible proof to strengthen our faith. However, as you mention, blessedness falls to those who believe without seeing. I can see." It is beautiful to see how you recognize that everything is interrelated in God's perfect plan. May your faith continue to be strengthened and may you experience the manifestation of His power in your life, just as many men and women of faith did in times past. May the grace and favor of God always be with you, Masiel! God bless you!
