Comments:

Francisco Diaz S.: He who believes himself to be wise is a fool and lacks simplicity and humility. When we have doubt, let us turn to the Lord who can do everything and knows everything and the merciful Lord will show us the right path.
What a beautiful comment, Francisco. It is true that humility and simplicity are key to receiving the wisdom that comes from God, as mentioned in James 1:5: "And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all abundantly." and without reproach, and it will be given to him." The attitude of seeking heavenly guidance in times of doubt demonstrates our dependence on the Lord and our trust in His wisdom to show us the right path. What a blessing it is to know that God is willing to give us the wisdom we need! Thanks for sharing your reflection!
Dania Barreto: Charles Spurgeon, despite so much knowledge that the Lord in his grace gave him, shows us his humility by recognizing that he still needs wisdom to face very simple matters, because he knows that before God he is nothing and that he must always depend on him. We should not be satisfied with what we know about God because we do not know anything about him and we need to continue knowing him more, there is so much to continue learning from the treasures of his Word and so much that we have to repent and continue to be transformed according to the character of Christ. As we know God more, may that knowledge diminish our own SELF more, may our own will and desires die more and Christ grow more in us. May the Lord in his grace guide us in wisdom in all our Christian walk.
What an uplifting comment, Dania! True, Charles Spurgeon's humility in recognizing his constant need for heavenly wisdom shows us a great example. As mentioned in James 1:5, "And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Recognizing that, despite all we have learned, we still need God's direction and wisdom is essential in our Christian walk. Seeking to know God more and depending totally on Him leads us to a continuous transformation, where Christ grows in us and our self-will diminishes. May the Lord, in His grace, guide us in wisdom in every step we take in our Christian life. Thanks for sharing your reflections!
