And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? (Joshua 15:18)
And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. (Mark 10:51)

Prayer must be specific

Effective prayer requires specific and detailed requests to God. He is a precise God and expects us to pray with precision. Like Bartimaeus, we must express our needs clearly and with persistence. God likes to hear our verbalized requests, born from a heart that has concentrated and reduced them through repetition and cultivation. When we present them to Him, it elicits a positive reaction from heaven. Bartimaeus' specific request for sight provoked a miraculous response from Jesus. Read more...

Comments:

Isael García Carmona : Sometimes we don't really know how to ask for what we need and God likes it when we are specific about what we want.
Amen, Isabel. I agree with you. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, being specific in our requests to God is very important. In Mark 10:51, we see Jesus ask blind Bartimaeus, "What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus wanted to hear the specific expression of his need from Bartimaeus' own mouth. God likes it when we are specific and clear in our requests, because it helps us focus on what we really need and shows us that we trust Him to provide it. May we learn to be more specific in our prayers and trust that God will respond according to His will!
Isael García Carmona : This is to the point as we say in Colombia
Totally agree, Isael! Being specific and direct in our requests is like getting "to the point", as we say in Colombia. As in prayer, when we approach God with clarity and precision about what we need, we show our trust in Him and His ability to respond. It is wonderful how God invites us to be specific in our requests, because it allows us to have a clearer and deeper communication with Him. Let us continue learning to pray concretely and trusting that God hears us and will respond according to His will. Blessings!
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Thank you for this word my LORD
You're welcome, Enrique. It is a privilege to be able to share the word of the Lord with you. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, specific prayer is a powerful tool in our life of faith. Knowing that God hears us and is willing to answer our requests fills us with gratitude and brings us closer to Him. May you continue to experience the blessing of having close communication with our Lord through prayer! God bless you!
Martha Eugenia Caro Montañez : Thank you for this Powerful Message, because it is as necessary to be specific as it is to be able to see, that our eyes be opened to follow the Lord Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, which is the only way to reach the Father and have Communion with the Holy Spirit of the Lord, Blessings, a thousand Thank you
Amen, Martha Eugenia. What a beautiful reflection! As you mention, being specific in our requests is crucial, as is having our eyes open to follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. He is the path that leads us to the Father and allows us to have communion with the Holy Spirit. Through prayer, we can draw closer to God in an intimate relationship and experience His blessing in our lives. May you continue to grow in your communion with the Lord and may He shower abundant blessings on you. Thank you for your inspiring comment!
Lidia V. Richardson J.: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that clarification, it will help me a lot in my prayers in terms of being specific and direct. God bless you greatly!
You're welcome, Lidia. We are glad to know that this clarification on the importance of being specific and direct in our prayers has been useful to you. It is a privilege to be able to share these messages that help us grow in our life of faith. May the Lord bless you abundantly and may your prayers become increasingly clear and powerful. Thank you for your comment and have a wonderful day in the presence of God!
Francisco Diaz S.: Let us trust in the Lord at all times, he hears our prayers.
That's right, Francisco. It is essential to trust in the Lord at all times, knowing that He always hears our prayers. As the Word mentions in Mark 10:51, when the blind Bartimaeus said to Jesus, "Rabboni, let him regain his sight," Jesus responded and gave him his sight. That complete trust in the Lord and in His ability to respond is what drives us to pray with faith and hope. Let us continue to trust in the Lord in all the circumstances of our lives, knowing that He is attentive to our requests. May the Lord bless you abundantly!
Washington Gómez : That the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ is eternal and he knows our needs, therefore our prayers must be with a constricted and humbled heart and then we know that he will do it in his time, hugs my dear brothers, God bless us.
Amen, Washington. What a beautiful reflection on the eternal faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ and His knowledge of our needs. As you mention, it is important to pray with a contrite and humbled heart, trusting that God will respond in His perfect timing. His love and care for us are inexhaustible. May we continue embracing each other as brothers in faith and trusting in the promises of the Lord. May God bless you abundantly and fill you with His grace and peace. A fraternal hug!
Rommel Paredes: Thank you for this devotional, it touched my heart, because I have to be specific in my prayer, and I ask for your prayers for my life, so I can travel to the United States and get my work visa with my family.
Rommel, we are glad to know that this devotional has touched your heart. It is important to be specific in our prayers, presenting our needs and desires clearly before God. Without a doubt, we will pray for you and your situation of obtaining a work visa in the United States with your family. As you say, for God nothing is impossible and He loves us unconditionally. His power and love sustain us at all times. Let us continue to trust that God will work perfectly in response to our prayers. May His love and grace guide us in every step we take. May the Lord bless you abundantly!
