And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

The story of the widow and Elisha in 2 Kings 4:1-7 shows how God can perform miracles in our lives, but also how we need to take action and participate in the process. The widow's diligence in collecting vessels and pouring oil led to God's miraculous multiplication of the oil, but when there were no more vessels, the miracle stopped. Elisha instructed her to sell the oil and pay her creditors, and she was able to live comfortably on the remaining income. God wants us to take action and confidently approach Him for help in our difficulties.
