Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)

The consolations of the Lord

The prophet calls upon mountains to sing praises to the Lord for His grace upon Zion. We too can make the mountains of difficulty and trial sing praises to God. The Lord wants His people to be happy and adoring of His unchanging love, and we should not be sad or suspicious. We should long for well-tuned harps and cherubic voices to praise Him. Read more...

Comments:

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : My heart constantly worships GOD. My strength is in Him. Amen.
What a beautiful comment, Enrique! It is wonderful to have a heart that constantly worships God. As Charles Spurgeon's devotional mentions, the comforts of the Lord are so sweet that even the heavens and the earth can sing a song. In Matthew 5:3, Jesus says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." This beatitude reminds us that finding our strength and comfort in God leads us to experience the fullness of His kingdom. May your constant worship continue to be a testimony of God's faithfulness and love. Amen!
Francisco Diaz S.: The Lord is merciful, just and loving, let us live in the grace of the Lord
Amen, Francisco. Truly, the Lord is merciful, just and loving. As Charles Spurgeon's devotional mentions, our God has mercy on His afflicted ones and invites us to sing and praise Him. As Psalm 145:9 tells us, "The LORD is good to all, and his mercies are over all his works." Living in the grace of the Lord is a wonderful privilege, allowing us to experience His love and receive His forgiveness. May we continue to live in His grace and share His love with others. Blessings!
Sabino Marroquín López.: We do not see the wind, but: we see and hear the trees scream, and, or cry when the wind moves them, but the air we breathe, such beautiful things that GOD made, amen.
Thanks for your comment, Sabino. It is true that the wind is invisible, but we can perceive its effects through the trees and the sounds it produces. It is a reminder of the greatness of God's creation and how all the beautiful things around us are a product of his love and care. As Charles Spurgeon's devotional mentions, even the mountains can sing and praise our God. In Isaiah 49:13 we read: "Shout for joy, heavens, and rejoice, earth. Break out into joy, mountains, for the LORD has comforted His people, and He will have compassion on His afflicted ones." Let us continue to marvel at God's work in nature and give thanks for all the beautiful things he has given us. Amen!
