He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
(Micah 6:8)If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
(1 John 1:9) He who loves a lot is forgiven a lot
God looks at the heart, not just actions, and is merciful to those who repent and seek Him. Even if we make mistakes, God can use them for good if we turn to Him. Jehoshaphat, who sought God with sincerity, received mercy despite his wrong decisions, while Ahab, who was rebellious, faced judgment. God only asks for simple things: to do justice, love mercy, and humble ourselves before Him.
