When Saul received the Holy Spirit, he was initially intimidated and hid from the public. However, as God began to work in his life, Saul was filled with the Spirit's power and became a courageous military leader. This illustrates the importance of developing the capacity to work with the Holy Spirit and calling upon its power when faced with trials, difficulties, and opportunities. We should always be seeking a fresh anointing of the Spirit in our lives. The story also shows the importance of uniting civil and military power with spiritual power for effective leadership.
