I appreciate your respectful opinion. It is true that each person can have their own perspective regarding the musical style they prefer to praise God. However, it is important to remember that worship and praise are not limited to one style of music. In the Bible, we find different ways of praising God, from traditional psalms to more contemporary dances and songs.
As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, praise has been restored and has regained its importance in different historical contexts (quote 2). What is essential is that our praise be genuine, come from a sincere heart, and be offered with reverence and gratitude to God. It is normal to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and be moved in the depths of your being when you give yourself in genuine worship. Crying in the presence of God can be an expression of surrender, gratitude, or even emotional release. Remember that each person has a unique way of connecting with God, and there is no "right" or "wrong" way to experience His presence.
There is value in putting effort into working on your connection and not avoiding that process. Prayer is fundamental to cultivating an intimate relationship with the Lord, and you can ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you go even deeper in your relationship with God.
