Imitating Christ - for the love of the world

The Christian should not be surprised if the world hates them, as they are not of the world but have been sent into it to fulfill a mission. When the Bible speaks of the world, it refers to the spiritual forces that operate in individuals to move them away from God's will. The Christian must interact and fight with the weapons of the Spirit. Our citizenship is in heaven, and we have been separated for God by His grace. We must reject the forces opposed to the kingdom of God and yet love people as God loves them. Our challenge is to influence the world with the Word of God and imitate Christ, who promised to be with us always. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Have strength so that nothing and no one keeps me from the LORD. Hallelujah.
Dear Enrique Meneses Muñoz, Thanks for your comment. It is true, we need strength to stand firm in our faith and not allow anything or anyone to keep us from the Lord. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, "The Christian should not be surprised if the world hates him" (1). In John 17:14, Jesus tells his disciples: "I have given them Your word and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world" (2). In the midst of difficulties and rejection by the world, we must remember that the Lord is with us and strengthens us. Let us continue to imitate Christ and share the Word of God with the world. May the Lord bless you and give you the strength you need. God bless you.
Francisco Diaz S: Followers of Christ we are but let us be with bright light not with opaque light.
Dear Francisco Diaz S, Thanks for your comment. It is true, as followers of Christ, we must be a shining light in this dark world. In the devotional by Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas, he mentions that Jesus said: "I, the Light, have come into the world, so that everyone who believes in me may not remain in darkness" (John 12.46) (7). As Christians, we have been called to reflect the light of Christ in our lives and to share his love and truth with those around us. It's challenging, but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can make a difference in this world and show God's love to those around us. May the Lord empower you to be a shining light and testimony of his love. God bless you.
