The great men and women of the Bible were put to the test by God. Responding like Abraham to the recognition of God's will behind the test shows a superlative degree of faith. To know if it is a test, you must be sensitive to the voice of God. God wants to see the hearts of his children by testing them and sometimes uses the painful method of humiliation. If recognized as coming from God, the test may be the answer you have been waiting for, and he wants to grant you the blessing in a special way. Passing the test is not easy, but it is worth it for the coming glory that we will have in Christ. May the Lord always accompany us in the experience of his trials, affirm and strengthen us.
