You cannot oppose God and prosper

SUMMARY: If sin has caused you to fall and lose everything, return to the Lord with regret and faith. Only He can restore you. Don't delay, confess and have humble faith. The promise is that you will be "edified".

Reader, has sin struck you down? Have you become a wreck? Has the Lord's hand gone out against you, in such a way that in goods you are impoverished and in spirit you are broken? Was it your own folly that brought all this waste on you? So the first thing to do is return to the Lord. With deep regret and sincere faith find your way back from your rebellion. It is your duty, for you have departed from the One whom you professed to serve. It is your wisdom, for you cannot oppose Him and prosper. It is your immediate need, for what He has done is nothing compared to what He could do as punishment, for He is almighty to punish.

Consider what is the promise that invites you! You will be "edified". None but the Almighty can lift the fallen columns and restore the tottering walls of your condition; but He can and will do it if you return to Him. Don't delay. Your deranged mind could fail you if you continue to rebel; but a sincere confession will relieve you, and humble faith will comfort you. Do this, and everything will be fine.
