Full life by faith
Faustino de Jesús Zamora VargasThe meaning of a full life is based on faith. Not of the temporary faith that remembers God only when the storm is inevitable, or the intellectual faith that takes comfort in giving credits as one more exercise of the intellect, but of the saving faith, which places Christ in the first place of life, the faith that overflows over difficulties. There is no full life in Christ, if there is no full faith.
Full of what? - would ask an impious. Whoever is not in Christ cannot understand this fullness. The Bible says that spiritual things can only be discerned spiritually. Our spirituality does not come from our understanding, nor from our tastes for the fine arts or our inclination for poetry, literature or good cinema, but from the Holy Spirit. Such is faith, saving faith. The full life in Christ is not submitted to the designs of one's own will, but to the precepts that point with certainty that there is a God, alive and who is among us. That is the faith that we have received from the Spirit, that Christ came to seek sinners to redeem them from the slavery of sin and offer them eternal life.
