Anointing to Intercede

SUMMARY: Intercession is the act of praying for the needs of others, and it is a lifestyle that every believer can participate in. It is not just a gift or ministry for a select few. Intercession is associated with characteristics such as passion, persistence, and standing in the gap for others. It is important to pray with God's mind and heart, which is full of love and mercy. Jesus Christ is our model for intercession.

To understand what intercession is, let's take a car for example. The power of God is the engine. God's love is the fuel (gasoline) that runs the engine. Intercession is the ignition key; that seemingly insignificant object, on which the result depends. Who has that key? We, the church of Jesus Christ. That was what God established.

What does prayer have to do with anointing?
