Summary: In Luke 8:40, we see the story of the woman with the issue of blood who had suffered for 12 years and spent everything she had on doctors but was not cured. She approached Jesus from behind and touched the edge of his cloak, and instantly the flow of her blood stopped. Jesus asked who touched him, and the woman came forward and declared why she had touched him and how she had been healed. Jesus told her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace." This story is about the power of faith and how it can change circumstances and alter history. Faith begins in the mind and requires a shift in our way of thinking to think in terms of faith. Faith is like the connecting thread between God and the world of the spirit and the human world, and without it, there is no connection with God. Faith can affect the heart of God from a temporal, human perspective, and it can alter the state of our lives. We should pray to the Lord, fast, and cry out to God to increase our faith.

In this passage, the speaker discusses the story of the woman with the issue of blood in the Bible who had faith and received her healing from Jesus. The speaker contrasts her with Jairus, a respected religious leader who also approached Jesus for healing for his daughter. The woman was poor and ritually impure, but her faith equalized the playing field with Jairus and she received her healing before him. The speaker encourages listeners to have faith and persevere in prayer, and not to give up too quickly in the face of challenges.

This passage discusses the story of a woman who had been suffering from a bleeding disorder for 12 years and spent all her money on doctors but found no solution. She then heard about Jesus and approached him from behind in a crowd, touching the hem of his cloak, and was healed instantly through her faith. The speaker emphasizes the power of faith and how it can overcome obstacles, even if one does not have a complete understanding of theology. He also discusses the importance of being plugged into Jesus and the sources of positive energy, such as the word, prayer, worship, and community. Finally, he points out that sometimes God has bigger plans for us beyond our immediate needs and that our struggles can inspire and teach others.

The story of the woman who touched the cloak of Jesus teaches us about the power of faith. Despite her desperate situation, the woman believed that touching Jesus' cloak would heal her and it did. But Jesus wanted more for her than just physical healing. He wanted her to leave with a sense of legitimacy and peace. He called her daughter and told her that her faith had saved her. This same power is available to us today if we have faith and trust in Jesus. We should not let go until we have received everything He has for us.

Luke 8 verse 40. I want to talk to you about the woman with the issue of blood. This very interesting character that Christ had an encounter with her, or she had a head-on encounter with the power of Jesus. And that text is very inspiring and I want you and I to be able to receive teaching from the Lord about this text.

The woman who touched Jesus' cloak. 8, 40, Luke.

It says there, “when Jesus returned, the crowd received him with joy because they were all waiting for him. Then came a man named Jairus, who was principal of the synagogue and lent himself at the feet of Jesus, begging him to come into his house, "because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, who was dying. And while he was going, the crowd oppressed him, that is, they physically pressured him, “but a woman,” and stop there for a moment. And he says, but a woman. Look at that conjunction, 'but' a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for 12 years and who had spent everything she had on doctors and had not been able to be cured by any of them, approached him from behind and touched the edge of his cloak. And instantly the flow of his blood stopped.

So, Jesus said, “who is it that touched me?” And denying all, because it was only one person who had touched him, no, and denying all, Peter and those who were with him said, “Master, the crowd presses and oppresses you and you say, “who is it that touched me? ” But, Jesus said someone has touched me. Because I have known that power has gone out of me. Then, when the woman saw that she had not been hidden, she came trembling, prostrated herself at his feet, and declared to him in front of all the people why she had touched him and how instantly she had been healed. And He told her, daughter, your faith has saved you, go in peace. Amen.

Listen to those words, your faith has saved you. It occurs to me at this moment that if they asked me for a title for this sermon I would have to say, that very one, your faith has saved you. Say everyone with me, your faith has saved you. Everyone, your faith. Amen. Because remember that in this year that God has put it in my heart to share the theme of faith. To impart to the congregation a spirit, a mentality, an attitude of faith. I have a commitment, as much as possible that the Lord helps me to fulfill it, that the sermons, the meditations this year, in one way or another, incline us to think about that profound concept, so necessary of faith. And I declare in the name of Jesus, that at the end of this journey of faith, our church will be marked. It is going to be changed in a very powerful way. Amen.

How many believe that? And that these words are going to be prophetic words that are going to impact your life and that God is going to be many powerful things. I believe that God wants to mark our congregation, I believe that God wants to change the very constitution of this church and take it to another, more powerful level. Change our way of thinking, of seeing things and that is one of the most important things about the concept of faith. Do you know where faith begins? Faith begins in the mind in the way of thinking. The person of faith is a person who thinks and sees life and conceives the events and issues of life in a very different way than the person who is not of faith. The person who thinks only in rational, human, material terms. It takes a mindset shift to be able to think in terms of faith.

That's why the Apostle Paul, in Romans 12, 2, I think it is. He says, don't get used to the way of thinking of this culture. He says, the words are, “don't conform to this century,” but I'm going to translate it into what it actually means in contemporary terms. Do not get used to thinking as the world thinks, but transform yourselves through renewal, of what? Of his mind, his way of thinking, his understanding. When you enter the ways of God, look, you have to take half of everything that you think makes sense and leave it in the bag before entering the Church. Because in the world of faith things work very differently from how they work in the material world. In the world of faith, more is less, and sometimes less is more. In the world of faith, children are the ones who enter the kingdom of heaven, and adults and the very mature and sophisticated are left outside. In the world of faith the weak is the one who is strong. In the world of faith you have to die to live. In the world of faith, one must serve to receive and to be served. In the world of faith you have to give to have. In the world of faith you have to make yourself small for God to raise you up, etcetera, etcetera.

It's a rare thing. The vision of faith is very different from the human vision. And unfortunately, many people in the world, or rather in the church, when they come from the world and enter the economy of the gospel, do not make that change in their minds. They are still thinking as the world thinks and God wants that when we enter the gospel that our mind is transformed, it is changed. And that is the process of a lifetime, but many of us haven't even started it, we still stay, we are neither chicha nor lemonade, as the Guatemalans say, we are neither one thing nor the other. And then, we are partly human, partly spiritual and it is a terrible confusion and we do not receive anything because he knows that the double-minded man does not expect that he will receive anything from the Lord. The person who is thus indecisive, insecure, indefinite, we have to define ourselves as men and women of faith. Amen. People who compute the things of the world according to the laws of the spirit and not the laws of reason.

So, I want that through these meditations we can strengthen the way of seeing the life that God wants us to have, which is through the principles, the concepts of faith and these passages that are in all of scripture – you will see that one of the things that God wants to do throughout all of scripture is for us to learn to think in terms of faith. May we learn to live life as people of faith. And that is why those passages are here, and that is why at the end the Lord tells the woman, “daughter, go in peace. Your faith has saved you." Because? Because faith is like the connecting thread, it is the wire that allows divine energy to run and reach one and one's request to God.

Faith is the connecting thread between God and the world of the spirit and the human world and the human being. If there is no faith there is no connection brothers, if there is no faith that telephone does not have dial-tone which María Alejandra sang a moment ago. If there is no faith there is no connection with God. The Bible says that whoever approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him, remember? The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. If you want to get closer to God, if you want to receive something from God, if you want to be rewarded by God, you have to believe that God is and that God is as He says He is. And that God is the same yesterday, today, forever. May the God who healed this woman with the issue of blood, can do the same in your life. Because she had a flow of blood that weakened her, it was like a continuous spill there, drop by drop in her body that probably gave her terrible anemia.

You know what, in our lives there are situations that are bleeding us dry sometimes, yes or no? There are worries, a spoiled child or one who is on the wrong path, a couple who is there every day in resuscitation, on artificial respiration, a husband who does not give up or be pulled with a crane; a financial situation, a depression that does not want to go away, memories that torment us. There are so many things that are like little drops of blood, right? That they are leaving our life, that keep us weak, ineffective and impossible to bear fruit for the Lord. So what does one do with that blood flow? I believe that the only thing that one can use is the principles and resources of faith to solve the problem. Can you say amen?

Any situation, I believe, brothers, has a solution in Christ, in the power of God and your faith is enough. Now, I can't guarantee that it will be overnight. How many years did it take this woman to come up with her solution? 12 years. I'm not going to say that it's going to take you that long, don't despair like that either, but it could be a year, two years, three years. Look, there are battles that are going to be fought... sometimes there are some demons that are more stubborn than a mule and you have to hit them over the head until they finally leave and are evicted. There are times when you don't, when you cry out and before you cry out, God has already answered, too. But all those transactions will always happen through the process of faith. This woman had faith and that is why God was able to perform a miracle in her life and faith changes circumstances.

Brothers, faith… –I ask the Lord, Father, help me to have faith. Some people will think 'oh, but Pastor Miranda doesn't have faith because of what he is doing.' Brothers, if my faith were what it should be, I would be riding on a hill of millions of dollars, because faith is very powerful. My faith is very small and I agonize every step I take, but I try. That's why when the disciples said to the Lord, Lord... what was it like? Teach us about faith. And the Lord told them, if you had faith like a mustard seed, you would tell this mountain to move and throw yourself into the sea and it would. What did you want to tell them? Ah no, they said increase our faith, Lord increase our faith. And the Lord kind of laughed, and said, what faith? If you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you could tell him. Another word, what am I going to increase if they don't have? Nothing. Sometimes we want, brothers... -faith is so powerful, that a spark of faith in us can make mountains and what we have to ask the Lord is to increase or instill faith in me, change my way of thinking, give me the attitude to that I can overcome the giants that are in my life. You know what, the struggles and problems of life are not God's problems, the problem is ultimately ours, how great is my faith, how great is my ability to ask God. How great is my ability to do what needs to be done for God to move in my life?

I think that when you look through the different cases and themes and chapters that we're going to discuss in these next few weeks and months, you're going to see how varied the dynamics of faith are. How many different paths lead to the solution. Some paths are zigzagging and long, other paths are instantaneous, some God's interventions are explosive and destructive, others are there for the long haul; some had to die and were sawed off and never saw what they were looking for but in the future God gave it to another generation. Others received everything they needed at the time. Read chapter 11 of Hebrews, which is the great chapter on faith, and you will see there the diversity of experiences and characters and events that characterize the dynamics of faith. But the important thing is that everyone had faith, everyone exercised faith, and without faith no one can please God, without faith you cannot unleash the move of God's power. You need faith, pray to the Lord, fast, cry out to God, all these things are ways of increasing the muscles of faith.

This woman is a perfect example of some aspects of faith and again I was saying that faith can change history. Faith can… –I am not going to say that faith changes the mind of God, because God knows all things etc., but looking at it from this human, temporal perspective, I would dare to say that faith can affect the heart of God . I don't know how, because ultimately, in absolute, eternal terms – no. Because God knows everything. But, from the temporal, human perspective, I think so and I could give you cases but I don't have the time right now, in the future we will. But, what I want to say is that here I see a change that occurred in history, a change in the flow of that text that we have just read. Look, and that's why faith changes things. Faith can alter history, faith can certainly alter the state of your life.

Look how the text begins, it says that the Lord was managing the crowd and a man came up to him, his name was Jairus. In other words, on the agenda, at that moment, Christ's agenda changes a little because a man named Jairo who is a religious man, well known in the community is like the pastor of a church, he is the principal of a synagogue . Let's say, the equivalent would be a priest of a church, a pastor of a congregation, a respected man in the community, a man with influence in the community, social connections in the community, approaches Jesus and asks him to heal his daughter who she is very sick. And, the Lord listens to Jairo's request, and says it's okay, Jairo, I'm going to go to your house and I'm going to heal your daughter.

So, the Lord's agenda is to go to Jairus's house and heal Jairus's daughter, this important, main man, who is a noble and religious man. Because it says here that while He was going, in other words, the Lord's agenda is to go heal this girl. That is his purpose and that is his mission at that moment, but notice what he says in the next verse. "But, a woman," that but, you have to put a circle around it, but, a woman. For me that is very significant. Because what happened at that moment? This woman's faith was injected into the journey of Jesus, and it changed the program for Jesus. Yes or no? You see what I mean that faith can affect history, it can affect God's agenda, so to speak, from the human perspective not from the divine perspective.

You can change the course of things because the Lord is not on your schedule at the time, heal anyone except Jairus. But, this faith-filled woman who has a conviction that God can heal her life through this mystery man that she doesn't know—she didn't even fully understand who Jesus was, I don't think so. But there was a spark of faith and trust and drive in her. Because faith is many things, faith is emotional, mental, physical, spiritual. It is a mixture of energies that build that essence called faith. So, this woman affects the life, the ministry of Jesus because she is injected into the trajectory of Jesus, her faith is like an arrow that enters into the program of Jesus. Faith does that, faith changes your life.

So, I have always been fascinated by the contrast between this woman and Jairo. Jairo is how people should be. And I would say that in the first two verses that I read, things are happening the way they are supposed to happen in the world. What's happening? Who is it that is supposed to get away with it, to get what he needs? Important people, right? The people with social connections, the people who behave well, the people who respect the law, the people who have resources, who have money, who have influence... the people who have studied, those are the people who receive things in the world. And until then we see that things are going as they are supposed to go in normal life. An important man, a priest who knows the law, knows the Bible so to speak. He has access to this important man called Jesus, and maybe he made a connection with one of the disciples and they said, don't worry, we'll put you in line first so you can ask him.

That's what happens, how it's done in our countries when you want to look for a visa or something, you talk to someone and they put you in front of the line, right? Or they put him through the back door to see the consul or whatever. So, in this case, Jairus, he has direct access to Jesus and he presents his case to the Lord and Jesus tells him, okay I'm going. And Jairo is as I say, he is the image of what is respectable, of what is well connected, what behaves well, what is acceptable to society, everything. He is virtually pure, respects the law. This woman is the complete opposite of Jairo. Do you see why I said that faith turns things upside down or upside down and changes everything? Poor people generally don't get what they need in the world. You don't have access to what's important, you don't have access to resources, you don't know how to get on the line, you don't know how to call the phone you need to connect with the person who has the solution. But, when you have faith, brother, that is the key. When you have faith that puts you at the front of the line, on many occasions, that gives you direct access to the power of God.

There already faith is the great equalizer, faith equalizes the field of competition. In the world of faith, in the dimension of faith, the rich are just as powerful – or the poor are as powerful as the rich, they are more, sometimes more powerful than the rich. The uneducated can sometimes know more and have more access to the heart of God than the educated through faith, because faith is what allows the revelation of God, the power of God to reach human consciousness. The fact that this woman had faith leveled the playing field with Jairus, so to speak. And he gave her access to Jesus and she did many things.

This woman was the complete opposite, a woman says first, but a woman. And it's interesting, isn't it? And I don't know if this woman called, Gapita or Juanita. I don't know, he doesn't have a name, but he gained access to Jesus and left with what he needed. He left with the reward, God is a rewarder of those who seek him. She left with her award before Jairo, she got ahead of Jairo. You know that the Bible says that the kingdom of heaven grows strong and the mighty take it by force. Another expression, the violent take it away. But I don't want to encourage you to be violent because you are already violent enough, so no, I want you to be meek and humble rather. So I'm going to stay with the politically correct term, brave ones. But many times, brothers, you have to be daring, you know? You have to start things, you have to launch yourself in the name of the Lord. God honors daring people.

And I love that, that the Lord Jesus loves it when one of his children comes and takes something from him. They criticize me there at home because I, my little grandson, let him tear off my glasses, and they tell me that I'm giving him a bad example and that I'm spoiling him, but I like it. I wouldn't allow it to another person, but when he takes my glasses off I feel happy, he blesses me because it is a gesture of trust and intimacy between him and me. And you know what? The Lord likes it when we, in quotes, take things away from him. The Phoenician woman took power from the Lord, do you remember? She came and told him, Lord heal my daughter, she has a demon, the Lord told her I can't give food to the dogs – he almost insulted her, it can be said. She told him, yes sir but the dogs still eat the food that falls from the table. And the Lord said wow you caught me you grabbed me, you know what woman by those words your daughter has been healed. You know what, it's not that he was going to heal her, when that woman gave that word she was healed and immediately a long distance to her daughter. That woman's word of faith brought out the power of Christ. Wow, that's tremendous. And one day I want to talk about the Phoenician woman. It is what happens, brothers, that our faith, our symbolic acts have incredible power to affect the heart of God. And the Lord doesn't mind that some of us go before Him following His principles and rip Him off, He says, wow, that's nice! My son is learning, he is becoming a warrior, he is growing in knowledge of dynamics. The Lord likes it when his children do extraordinary and strange things to him, different.

Don't be afraid to do desperate things to get God to do something in your life. What's more, sometimes we are cowards and that's why God doesn't bless us anymore, we stay there like the unfaithful servant who put his talent in a handkerchief and put it there under the bed and did nothing because he was afraid, what if he lost his talent and invested it in what he was not. Fear sometimes stops us from so many blessings that God wants to give us, but when we have courage, when we have faith, when we operate under faith. And we say as Esther said, if I perish, let me perish, if I die, let me die; if they cut off my head, at least I did something, an effort to save my people. And the Lord blessed her and honored her. The Bible is full of people who do desperate acts, Bartimaeus, Zacchaeus, the friends of the paralytic, we are going to discuss all those people, and they all had faith, and they got away with it.

But this anonymous woman is the complete opposite of Jairo, she is a woman, she has no name, she has no money because she has spent everything on the doctors, the doctors have stolen everything, Some things never change, but no, no I must say that. It's not true, it's not true. If there is any doctor here, you are different, you are sanctified doctors. But, she had spent everything on doctors, she was ritually impure, you know that in Judaism a woman who had a flow of blood was like a menstruating woman, excuse the expression, but it's normal. And in the Bible, if a woman when she was in her blood issue, she was ritually unclean. So, this woman technically, medically, was ritually unclean and was not, according to Jewish law, to be in contact with people around her, because touching them made them ritually unclean as well.

You know this woman violated religious law to get her miracle, imagine if she had strength and courage. I'm not going to say another word, I had pants on, so to speak, didn't I? This woman had guts and violated a number of things to get her miracle. So one would not expect that type of individual to receive anything from God. however, her faith made a difference and then she. That's why it says there, "but a woman." Faith equalizes the field of competition, faith makes things change around you and your life. She suffered from blood flow for 12 years. Brothers, as I say, sometimes the processes of faith take time.

One of the principles of faith that we have to learn is that sometimes God's miracles take time. And if you are one of those, like those old records, not that I have seen them, I was a little baby when those records of 45, of short duration of 45 revolutions per minute, do you remember? Those of you know them, I don't. No, it was just one song, right? Many Christians, we are like those records of 45 revolutions per minute, we are finished in a moment. Gasoline is taken from us, we run out in an instant, and we pray two or three times, if the miracle does not come we go on to the other request and we forget and we leave things halfway like that. And in the Bible you have to persevere to the end, brothers. If there is a fight or a battle, and God does not answer you immediately, keep crying out, keep waiting, keep knocking on the door until the Lord answers.

There are characters in the Bible, the widow before the unjust judge. Others like this, the friend who comes at midnight and knocks on his friend's door and does not need to wake up and finally to leave him alone, he opens the door and gives him what he needs. There are examples in the Bible of persisting, one of the great principles of faith is that you have to persist, you have to stay until the last moment, you have to continue until God gives you what He has told you that He is going to give you. This woman had been there for 12 years with her serious problem, but she didn't say well, I'm going to stay at home, I'm going to die here, I'm not going out anymore, I'm not going to see anyone, I'm going to get depressed, no. She continued, she went to a doctor, she went to another, this and that, until one day she saw in the newspaper that there was a new preacher in the area and she read on the Internet that there was a man named Jesus who healed people and that he had a precious ministry, he investigated more and saw that he was indeed a man of God, and he said, there is my answer, I am going to try him.

Brothers, you have to be persistent in life, you have to knock on doors. I always believe that there is a solution in the world for every problem. If you're looking for something, go ahead and ask and search and tap and ask until someone answers something, but don't give up too quickly. We must continue, because God has made us animals of prey, we are not a turkey with our heads always down, we are eagles, we have long duration, we can ascend to high altitudes and fly long distances. Because that is the DNA, that is the genetics that God has put in you. The Lord Jesus Christ has said through the Apostle Paul, because God has not given us a spirit of cowardice but of power, love and self-control. What you have inside of you is pure power, so don't give up in a moment, don't throw in the towel because they didn't answer you immediately, keep going God is with you, the gas tank you have put in is for long distances. Don't underestimate what God has placed in you.

Dare to move forward, there is always a solution. There is always a chance, if you didn't succeed the first time, try, get on the horse and try the second time. If you fell, wipe your knees, mend your pants and continue for the next one and in one of those you're going to hit, you're going to get where you need to be. This woman spent twelve years and finally understood that her solution was in Jesus. Oh, that Christians first went to Jesus before everything else, not last. Many of us go to Jesus as a last resort. Well, when the doctors told me that I have three days to live, then he began to pray. Look, pray when you are in health for health. Don't wait for them to tell you that you have cancer, no, pray every day. If you're healthy, you know what, that's the time to pray for the Lord to keep you healthy. You have to put all things in the hands of the Lord always, bathe all aspects of your life with prayer of faith to keep them healthy.

I believe a lot in preventive faith, not in curative faith, not in remedial faith. Many of us only come when everything has already failed and when we are already eating a wire, whatever. You have to start early. Pray for your health, pray for your vigor. Pray for your finances, pray for your children. Keep your life bathed in a prayer soup continually, don't you? All things that swim in a sphere of prayer in your life. Saturate everything in prayer, that your mind is saturated with the presence of God. You live a life of faith, you move in a realm of faith, you pay the price, you have to be a giant. Do not seek the Lord at the last minute, do not seek the Lord when things are bad. Always pray preventively, so that the Lord bathes your life with the vitality of the Holy Spirit, that your mind is open, porous, understanding of the mysteries of God and that you can process the events of life, the light of the spirit. Always stay with the Lord first in your life.

She waited 12 years and she had spent everything on doctors, everything she had and no one had been able to solve her problem. There is no problem that God cannot solve. God does not know when big is small, for God everything is the same, everything is possible, everything is easy. What's more, God doesn't know what that is about what is easy, because for Him everything is simply natural. He can do what He wants, and He does not know distance, this is far, this is near, this is difficult, this is easy, this is now, this is later. He says that God dwells in his eternity, God knows no time, space, colors, difference. He is all. He defines everything. Everything is defined by Him. No, He defined by no element of human reality. That is very, very deep, very powerful.

So, no one had been able to, but the Lord had the solution, Christ had the solution. Faith says no matter how big my problem is, I know that God can solve it. I know that even though everyone else is out there suffering from hunger and need, and there is a gigantic economic crisis and everything seems impossible, there is a little crack through which I am going to sneak in and receive my miracle. That is what faith says, no matter how many times you have failed, how many have failed, I can receive because I have faith in the Lord and my God is great.

Then she came up behind him and touched the hem of his cloak. Two negative things that she had against her, she did not have frontal access to Jesus, she could not approach him so that he would give her a word of healing as he gave so many others. And he didn't have, at least I'm going to hit him very hard so that the Power comes out of him, right? She could only reach out in the crowd, I imagine maybe one or two people, to reach out and touch a little thread of Jesus' clothing, because there was a huge crowd around her. Obstacles, obstacles, obstacles everywhere. Brothers, God's blessing will often have to be at the end of many obstacles. Faith always has to overcome obstacles, look at the entire Bible and you will see obstacles in front of anyone who wants to get something from the Lord.

But, we have to overcome that, go beyond the obstacles, and this woman had to approach Him from behind and had to barely touch the hem of His cloak. Brothers, let me tell you something, this is important. I think that in this woman there was, perhaps, even a little bit of superstition, this thing about touching the cloak, but she knows that sometimes faith leads us to do crazy things. I really believe in the power of symbolic actions. Because one thinks well, touch the edge of his cloak. What was she thinking? She thought well, his energy is transmitted through his mantle, I have to touch him to receive. That's a magical mindset. The magical mentality of man is like that, it operates in that way. A word, a contact, a laying of hands, an oil.

But, I don't think this woman knew everything about who Jesus was, she hadn't studied theology, she just thought that, and it's a connection. This man has energy and if I interfere, in our modern life, you know that if you put your finger in a socket you will feel something, electricity. She said, if this man has power and if I touch him, His power will come out through my finger and it will heal. There is something like a little bit of witchcraft and magic there I think, and I would not doubt that this woman was operating, not on a theological or biblical mindset, but on a magical mindset. But you know what, many times brother, God works through imperfection if there is faith. It is that faith is like that, it is so powerful that many times, you will not have all things well ironed but if you have an energy of faith that will make everything else secondary. There are times when in our life, everything is not as God wanted but we have faith and that faith neutralizes because what God is looking for is faith. And that's not an excuse to live sinful lives or whatever. But you know what? God loves people who have faith and many times those people are very basic in their understanding of God, they are imperfect and this and that. But they have faith, and God loves people of faith. With those people He does something.

There are times when there are people who have everything ironed out, they go to church every Sunday, they put on their suit and tie, they give money, they do the other thing, but their hearts are full of pride and the Lord says I will not go to you. Look, I'm not going to give you anything. And sometimes another comes along, an addict, a person who has done twenty thousand things over there, and has faith and bows down before God and seeks God, and God says that's what I need. It's just incredible, faith is very mysterious. God always responds sometimes to outsiders, not to insiders. God answers many times to the people outside, not the people inside. The people on the outside are often the ones who receive, because the people on the inside are often so sure of themselves that their security is an impediment to their blessing.

God sometimes loves people who are imperfect in their making but who have faith. That is why the publican received what he needed when he went to pray to the Lord, and the self-assured Pharisee received nothing. The publican was full of sins, and simply said, Lord have mercy on me because I am a sinner. But I had faith. The faith that God needed and that faith caused God to bless and forgive him. The very correct Pharisee, all the qualifications, but his faith was an impure faith and God told him you don't get anything today, you're going to leave just as you arrived. This woman perhaps did not understand who Jesus was, I do not think she knew that He was the Messiah, the son of God with substantiality with the Father, this and that, but she had faith. And that faith unleashed the power of Jesus, that faith prevailed over the fact that the Lord did not give him permission to touch him. That faith was way above the fact that she couldn't ask him for his miracle in a proper way, it was simply a naked act of faith that unlocked the power of God.

When you have a problem in your life, a need, even if you don't know everything about the problem and have everything well ironed out, simply cry out to the Lord, ask the Lord and throw yourself at the Lord's feet and tell Him your problem and your need. in stammering words What the Lord sees is the person's heart and says here that the flow of his blood stopped instantly, instantly. Immediately, through her faith, she connected with the power of Jesus Christ, the miracle occurred and she felt... that is, the Lord Jesus Christ was not the only one who felt a shudder inside himself, the woman also felt a shudder. And this is what happens many times, if in an electrical transaction, if you insert something into a socket, you know that many times there is a discharge and the fuses may blow, the light burns out, you know? And you also feel something on the other side, a current. Because there was too fast a flow of energy and everything is turned upside down and both extremes feel the change. That happened here, the Lord trembled and she also trembled and felt that she had been healed, that she was ready.

How did she know that she had been healed? Because she felt something inside her, she felt that what was affecting her dried up. That the opening that I had was closed and she said, I got what I needed. And the Lord too. Brother, those are the mysteries. Sometimes I see that theological people get so complicated, I tell them brothers, the more I know the power of God, I see that I have to be more simple, less theological. God does what he absolutely wants and many times the mysteries of God, these energy and touches, and symbolic actions and all that, that has incredible power. That is why sometimes people criticized Guille Ávila for the handkerchiefs that he prayed and sent to people through the mail. Look, God does what he wants. There are very theological people who say that putting your hands on the radio is witchcraft. Look to God if you put it in the mouth of the little dog you have, and do it with faith, maybe God will use that to heal, who knows. The Lord does what he wants if there is faith, if there is faith, if there is faith. That's the difference, because here, this woman – that was a power thing, an electrical thing. Life… –the world of the spirit, the world of faith has such strange, mysterious aspects that are almost like electronics. No? Here it was an electrical transaction that made her feel what she felt. It is naked faith, this is faith in its most basic form.

Let us ask the Lord to increase that energy in our lives. Let's sin more to Jesus. Because that is a question. How does the Lord Jesus Christ say? Remain in me and I in you and you will bear much fruit because depart from me you can do nothing. It's an electrical issue. My computer, if I disconnect it from the electric charge, it only lasts three hours and after two hours the little battery it has says I'm dying, I'm dying, hit me again because it needs to be plugged into power. It's something electrical. Faith is electric, you have to be plugged into Jesus, plugged into the word, plugged into prayer, plugged into worship, plugged into verbal statements of power, plugged into God's community, plugged into the to the church You need to come to church, don't tell me you're so sophisticated that you don't need to come to church. Here God does things, you have to stick to things where the power is. You have to be with people of power, you have to talk to people who have anointing. If you talk to people who are only negative and pessimistic, you will be just like them in 10 days, I guarantee it. Stick with people who have anointing, power, positivity and optimism and you will also receive the same because it is energy.

There is energy and we have… that is one of the great details and truths about faith. There is a dimension of energy and you have to be where the energy is. Jesus is the maximum expression of that but there are also other places, there are other transactions, when you stick to the word and you are reading that word, that word is transmitting divine energy. Now, stick to the television and you know, what's going to come out of there crazier than a weight clock, as we say. Because that energy that is in there, what is it going to give you? Problems, difficulties, adulteries, sensuality, madness, violence, that energy is the one that will stick to you. You have to stick where the good energy is, whoever has energy, an environment with good energy, a teaching, a church with good energy, go there and stick to it and receive from it. And that will give you strength so that your life changes and you are different and you can do other things. She stuck to Jesus and what she needed came.

last thought. She touched Jesus, power came out of Jesus. Well, she said, I already have what I needed, now I'm going home and that's it. See why, because she has a primitive, basic mentality. But the things of God are much more complex, sometimes God has dealings with us that go beyond our need or our immediate drama. Sometimes God wants to get much more out of the struggles of your life, than just your little skit that you are living. You don't know what things are going through you that you think that you are the only one who is eating a wire and cooking yourself in your own juice of suffering, but there are people who are watching your drama and they are learning and they are watching you to see what you are going to do at work, in your family, in different places. What did I talk too much? I have already seen ---. Not that's good, that's good. Don't stop doing it, I like that. I prefer that they be here, keep doing that, that's good. That's good. Brothers, I even forgot what I was going to say.

Brothers again. Sometimes God has things going on in our personal life and God wants to glorify Himself and so sometimes He drags things out because He wants to get the mileage out of it. The miracle He can do it in an instant, but God sometimes He likes to take advantage of things so that others are blessed. How many people have been blessed throughout history with this woman's drama? Millions of people, I dare to think, who have read this passage and have received encouragement and encouragement and teaching. Look here, two thousand plus years later, an immigrant community here in Boston is being blessed by what happened to this woman two thousand plus years ago. She thought that this was only my drama, my problem, my difficulty. We always have a great cloud of witnesses around us and you don't know what God is doing. Because what did this woman believe, well, I touch Jesus, I take out what I need, thank you very much, I'm going home and now I can go back to my normal life, etc.

But there was something else that Christ wanted to do, when He experiences that discharge of power He says who has touched me. She comes scurrying. Who has touched me? And she had to stop at that point because the Lord... I believe the Lord knew everything that was going on. He wanted brothers, that this woman not leave as she had always lived, anonymous, despised and depressed. He wanted to bless her a little more still, He wanted to put the final touch to that drama that he had allowed to take place and he wanted to put an end to what had happened.

Because, again, God is like that. God is complex in his things and so He wanted this woman to go, to have a moment of communication with Him. Look how interesting, there is so much, but he is not going to give me a chance anymore. And it says here, look at one of the things, and that is that the Lord wanted to speak to her and communicate something to her and she only wanted her miracle, her situation. But, many times brothers, faith wants to teach us something else. He wants to deal with us, he wants us to grow to another level, he wants to develop character in us, he wants to break us, he wants to form us into more powerful men and women in God. And all this the Lord wanted to do. This woman… when the Lord says, who has touched me? The disciples say, well, the whole world is touching you. So, she tells people okay, I have to confess. The Lord did not want her to leave with a sense of illegitimacy. He wanted her to leave with a sense of what you got, you deserved it, and go away blessed.

God is so merciful, so generous, so loving to us. So, He calls her and she tells him her story. Others listen to her story, are blessed by her testimony, are edified. The Lord is glorified, a record is made of what happened, many are blessed, and He tells the woman these words that send her off in peace. And he says to her, woman, your faith has saved you. He tells her, daughter. Listen to that, because it was a love drama, the Lord is loving. The Lord did not want this woman to leave as an illegitimate, illegal, undocumented woman. He wanted her to feel like you did the right thing, you did what you had to do, you got what you deserved. He told her, daughter, your faith has saved you, go in peace. That is the God that I know brothers, the God of mercy, the God of love, the God of compassion, the God who loves me, the God who does not expect me to have all the crossed Ts and all the i's with their dots up .

The God who says, knows that perhaps you do not deserve everything that I am going to give you, but you are my son and I love you and I am going to give it to you anyway. It's the Christ who says, you know what, you've made some mistakes in your life, but I love you because you love me and your heart is in the right place. Never think that you have to have everything well arranged to get closer to Christ. On the contrary, sometimes the more problems you have and the more difficulties you have, the more the Lord wants you to get closer to Him. That qualifies you even more to get closer to the Lord. The Lord wants that this morning, the faith of the woman who touched the cloak of Jesus becomes our faith, amen.

We are going to lower our heads for a moment, I ask you to remember these dynamics of faith so that in your next struggle, in your next tribulation you can have access. Look at that Christ, look at that Jesus who has done what this passage describes and stick to Him and understand that it is not there so that we can simply see something archaeological that happened two thousand years ago, they put it there so that you understand that it is the same thing that God can do for you today in your situation, that's why he is there. It is an example, it is a paradigm, it is a call for you to exercise that same faith and obtain that same result in your life. May you use that mindset and see that same power flow from Jesus. What drama do you have? What fight do you have? What is your problem? What is your situation? That problem, that situation can obey the power that is in Jesus and change your life, change your dynamics. Christ has the solution, Christ has the solution to your problem. Don't let go until you've received everything He has for you.
