The value of authenticity

SUMMARY: The author reflects on the issue of authenticity and how many people are in disguise, not showing their true selves. This is especially problematic for Christians, who may present an image that does not match their true selves. The author urges readers to be authentic and not to ask for things with bad intentions. They remind readers that they are the hands of God on Earth and should act accordingly.

Last Saturday we celebrated the first anniversary of our church. It was a beautiful ceremony where brothers of all ages worked. Before presenting the church's Ministry of Elders, I disguised myself as an insane old woman and a brother played the role of my son, everyone laughed and a brother told me: -I have never seen a better accomplished old woman!

The next day, looking at the photos, I was surprised to see that despite the fact that I wanted to pass for a helpless and insane old woman, my face did not authenticate the old age that I wanted to appear, the passage of so many years could not be seen in it, it was just a disguise and not well accomplished.
