The strange work of the Lord
Fabiana ManzewitschSUMMARY:
The message is about the strange work of the Lord, and how God likes to break our schemes and do things differently than we expect. The passage from Isaiah 28:20-21 talks about the Lord doing His strange work, and the speaker reflects on how uncomfortable it is to have a short bed or a narrow blanket. The Lord does strange works, like setting a table in the desert, speaking to the dead, and inviting many to eat when there is little food. The speaker then goes to Second Samuel 5 to talk about the valley of Refain where the Philistines came to attack David. David went to the stronghold to seek the Lord's strategy, and God gave him victory. However, when the Philistines came again, God gave David a new strategy that involved being sensitive to the wind and listening for the noise of a march through the tops of the balsam trees. The speaker concludes by saying that God is releasing new strategies to the Church, and that worship intimidates the enemy.
When we worship God in the Spirit, it intimidates the enemy and releases a new strategy for his people. We should not save on worship and give God all the glory. Just like the miracle of the loaves and fish, there is a time to prioritize and waste our life on worship for Him. When we worship, the enemy recedes and God's promise advances. We should learn to praise and bless and let the wind of the Spirit move us like the treetops. This morning I want to share a Word that has burned in my heart this time. As Pastora Meche said, I lived in Mexico for many years and suddenly it was not something planned, with time as one likes. Suddenly the Lord is like he moved the floor for me. And the Lord of Mexico from a time of opportunities where it seemed that everything was working and suddenly the Lord said you are going to Argentina. That?. I have prayed for Argentina but send another Lord.
But hey, the Lord has us in Argentina and sometimes we travel with my husband to Mexico for less than 24 hours, we take our two meetings that we have there in the Sunday service, we travel three hours to the capital of Mexico and return to take the plane to Buenos Aires, and we arrive in Buenos Aires in the morning and in the afternoon we continue with the Bible school that we have there. You will say, it's crazy! Yes, you're right. But my husband always says something: you have to do things while you have the strength. As long as God allows it.
