The power of our words

SUMMARY: The power of words is immense, and we must be aware of the impact of our speech on ourselves and others. Proverbs 18:20 says that a person can earn their living and prosper through their words. However, verse 21 warns us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. The Apostle James also speaks about the power of the tongue and its ability to both bless and curse. We must learn to use our words wisely and be mindful of the impact they have on those around us. The quality of our life and inner space is directly connected to the words we hear and speak. We must be intentional about creating spaces of silence and mindfulness in our noisy modern world.

The author discusses the power and importance of words in our lives. He emphasizes the value of silence and measured speech, as well as the impact of positive and negative language on our thoughts, feelings, and behavior. The author cites biblical passages and neuroscientific research to support his arguments and encourages readers to be mindful of the words they use and their prophetic power.

Words have power and can be used for creation or destruction. It is important to speak positively, bless our children, and express gratitude to God and others. We should also control what we consume, including the music we listen to, and read good books and the Word of God. Our words have a prophetic power and we should use them wisely, especially in counseling or teaching situations. Forgiveness is an act of obedience, and we should speak positively even if we don't feel it yet. Finally, we should affirm people and projects with hope and positive expectation.

The power of words is immense and we should use them wisely. Parents should be cautious about their children's exposure to negative music and media that promotes violence against women, unbridled sexuality, and criticism of authority. Instead, we should use our words constructively and speak positively. In Jeremiah 1:4-9, God calls Jeremiah to be a prophet, but Jeremiah initially doubts himself and says he cannot speak. God tells him not to say that and touches his mouth, putting His words in Jeremiah's mouth. Similarly, we should not use negative confessions and instead trust in God's good intentions for us and use our words to create, heal, bless, and give life. We should ask God for help in changing our verbal habits and use our words as a powerful instrument. We should also believe and speak positive confessions, such as God's blessings, forgiveness, and good plans for our lives.

Prepare your heart now to receive an impartation of God's life through words specifically, I want to talk about that, the power of our words, the power of the mouth, the power of words to bless or curse, to delay or to advance our journeys, our spiritual trajectories, the power of words, amen?

This is in line with this series of meditations that we have been doing lately. As you remember, I have restarted that series that we postponed for a while on emotional health and spiritual emotional healing, how to live healthy healthy lives, how to be healthy healers because many times in the Kingdom of God we want to bless others, evangelize them, speak to them about the Word of God but we ourselves have areas that we have not dealt with without sometimes realizing or not knowing how we can get out of the quagmire in which we find ourselves and the Word of the Lord has great advice for all of us about how to live victorious lives, how to live lives healthy, and how to heal ourselves from the inevitable distortions of this fallen world.
