The nights of our life
Milagros García Klibansky
SUMMARY:
We often hear God speak at night because our hearts are less distracted by the noise of the day. In our darkest moments, we may feel like we have lost the ability to hear God, but He never stops speaking to us. We need to be more attentive to His voice and not let the distractions of life cover it up. The nights of our lives may be filled with fear and uncertainty, but if we remain in communion with God, we can find peace and guidance. The star that shone on the first Christmas continues to shine, leading us to the manger where we can receive the gift of God's love.
Today I was listening to a song and a verse read: "
Here I am Lord, here I am Lord, I have heard you speak at night < / a> ... "And my spirit was moved and the question arose: Why, Lord, do we almost always hear you speak at night? Is it that during the day our hearts are so full of noise that we cannot hear your sweet voice?
It is at night when we best listen to the voice of God, simply because we believe that at night is when we really need to hear it. As the psalmist said: "When I remember you in my bed, When I meditate on you in the watches of the night." Salt 63.6
