The life aligned with Christ will reach its destiny
Omar Soto(Audio: Spanish)
SUMMARY:
The speaker shares his experience of seeing a message in the sky that read "You + God = a happy face" while on vacation in Florida. He reflects on the basic elements of life, such as air, food, water, and light, and how we plan our lives around these needs. He then turns to John 1:3-5, which declares that in Christ is life and the light of men. He emphasizes the importance of aligning our lives with Christ to reach our true destination and find purpose and meaning in life.
In this sermon, the speaker talks about how we all have a designated space in our lives that is meant for God, but many people try to fill it with other things like money, possessions, or relationships. He uses the example of a child trying to fit letters into a box to illustrate the importance of recognizing who this space truly belongs to. He also explains how Jesus is the origin of all things and how his spirit, bread of life, water, and light can bring order and clarity to our lives. The speaker emphasizes the importance of aligning ourselves with God and allowing him to guide us towards his plans for our lives.
The speaker encourages listeners to align their plans with God's plans for their lives, as God's plans take precedence over our own. He urges listeners to not resist the light of God that comes to bring divine order and blessing, even in uncomfortable and difficult areas. The speaker also reminds listeners of the promise of eternal life through Jesus and encourages them to align their lives with Him, as He is the source of true and abundant life. The invitation is extended to those who have not yet aligned their lives with Jesus to do so, and for all to make the intentional decision to invite God into every aspect of their lives. The message ends with a prayer for God to illuminate each person's steps and guide them on the path He has for them. The speaker leads the congregation in a hymn as an affirmation of faith and trust in God's transformative power. It is a joy to be able to be here again in the midst of the church, to be able to share, after having been on vacation with my wife and my son, Lucas, there in Florida. We live in Florida enjoying the heat for a period of time there, thank God with my in-laws. And you know what? I learned two very interesting things while I was there. On one hand I learned that, wow! How grandparents pamper grandchildren. I do have one complaint. Parents don't do some things with their children, but with their grandchildren they do. I know that Carolina there gave me a lesson on that, she confirmed it there. I have to learn my lessons on that, but thank goodness for grandparents, I have to say.
And guess what? I also learned a second thing that is what I want to use for today's message. There, we decided to take Lucas to Downtown Disney, it's one of the small parks that is related to Disney, and don't worry, it's not that I'm promoting Disney World, it's not that. But yes, there is something that happened there that kind of caught my attention.
