Do you feel loved?
Steve Johnson(Audio: English)
SUMMARY:
The speaker asks if the audience feels loved and shares a story about his parents' marriage to emphasize the importance of trust and experiencing love in a relationship. He then discusses Ephesians 3:14-21, where Paul prays for power to understand the love of Christ and be filled with the fullness of God. The power is not for external expressions of strength, but for understanding and knowing the love of God through Jesus Christ. This power helps us live a lifestyle rooted in love and faith in Christ. The passage can be hard to understand but emphasizes the importance of experiencing and trusting in God's love.
The love of God is an ongoing, continuous thing that helps us live a lifestyle rooted and founded on Jesus Christ. It is beyond our ability to understand or explain, but we know it by faith and experience. We can be filled with the fullness of God if we understand that love, which is demonstrated in all that God does for us. This includes taking the most basic discrimination in history, Jew and gentile, and reconciling them through Jesus Christ.
The passage in Ephesians 3:14-21 talks about the love of God and how it brings unity. It shows that God is doing everything for us so that we can glorify him, and that we need to be grounded in Jesus Christ to continue in the love of God and to have the fullness of God in our lives. The passage also says that God is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, and that we need to have a continuous dependence on his love. The speaker emphasizes the importance of knowing that we can never be separated from the love of God and the freedom that comes with that knowledge. Some people may not feel that love or know it to the extent that it can provide a basis for the entire outworking of their life, but God's love is always there and will never betray or reject us.
The author is talking about a special kind of love that comes from God, a love that is sacrificial and selfless. They encourage readers to experience this love and pray for them to be filled with the fullness of God's love. This love is the foundation of everything we do as a Christian and is not about neglecting our intellect or experiences, but rather uniting them in a love for God.It’s a great opportunity to share with you this evening, and as is my custom, I guess, I’ve been preaching for a very short time, but I’d like to start with a question, because questions get us thinking. And we start thinking we’re engaged, we can really wrestle with what it is being discussed or talked about or presented or you know, whatever the case can be.
So, my question to you is, do you feel loved? Francoise, do feel loved? Great. Sam, I almost forgot your name, because it’s the pressure you know, do you feel loved? Good. Do you feel loved? Do you feel loved? Have you ever been in a relationship where you knew the other person loved you. You knew that they were committed to you. How did you feel in that relationship? It feels pretty good, right? There’s some comfort, there is peace.
