Take heart people all of the earth - And work
Dr. Roberto Miranda(Audio: Spanish)
SUMMARY:
The passage from Haggai 2:1 talks about the prophet Haggai speaking to Sorobabel, governor of Judah, Joshua, the high priest, and the rest of the people, urging them to continue their work on the house of God. The Lord promises to be with them and to fill the house with glory. The Desired of all nations, Jesus Christ, is the only one who can bring about positive change and establish justice among men. The message is that we need to work hard, contribute, give sacrificially, and not lose our vision or passion. We must empty ourselves to be filled by God's glory. The speaker also makes a plea for financial contributions to finish the construction of the building, reminding the congregation that they have been blessed with great economy and wisdom in their past building projects.
The speaker urges the congregation to give sacrificially to the Lord, as the church is in need of urgent funds to complete construction and pay off debts. The sanctuary is seen as a prophetic place where God's Glory will manifest and prepare the people for cataclysmic times that are coming. The speaker encourages the congregation to build not only for the present but for what God has in store for the future, and to live as warriors for Christ, giving everything to serve the Lord.
The speaker encourages people to focus on building the Kingdom of God rather than accumulating worldly possessions that will not matter in the afterlife. They encourage people to give generously to the church and conceive a strong vision for the Lord. The speaker does not want to manipulate people for money and asks them to sign an amount they will give in their spirit. They ask everyone, including children, to give something to the Lord. They pray for God to move His people and establish His name in their church. In chapter 2 of Haggai beginning with verse 1 it says: "In the seventh month on the 21st day of the month the Word of Jehovah came through the prophet Haggai" look at the figures that are involved in this passage "the prophet Haggai saying: Speak now to Sorobabel son of Zalatiel governor of Judah" a second figure Sorobabel governor, third person "and to Joshua son of Josadac, high priest" fourth entity "and to the rest of the people saying" and this is the message of the Lord "Who is left among you who have seen this house in its first glory and how do you see it now? Is it not like nothing before your eyes?
"Well, now Sorobabel governor, be strong, says the Lord. Be strong too, Joshua son of Jozadac, high priest, and take courage, all people of the earth" Congregation Lion of Judah, take heart, says the Lord, take heart; gain strength, gain enthusiasm, recover vision.
