Rejoice in the Lord always
Dr. Roberto Miranda(Audio: Spanish)
SUMMARY:
In this sermon, the preacher discusses the importance of finding joy in the Lord and showing kindness and gentleness towards others, even in difficult situations. He uses the Apostle Paul as an example of someone who went through many trials but remained firm in his faith and was able to write a letter of joy to the Philippians even while in a Roman jail. The preacher encourages listeners to remember that the Lord is always near and to seek comfort in His word during times of hardship. He also reminds them to keep an even-tempered and affable character, so that the beauty of Christ's character can shine through them and be evident to the world.
The Lord is near, and as believers, we should take comfort in knowing that. Even in times of trial and difficulty, we should remember that we are citizens of eternity and that God is always with us. We should not let anxiety overcome us, but instead, trust in God's ability to solve every situation. The Apostle Paul reminds us that all things work together for good for those who love God. We may go through difficult times, but we should trust that God has a plan and a solution for every situation.
When we face difficult situations in life, we should fight as much as possible to change them in the name of the Lord, but when we can't, we should make adjustments and move on. We need to understand that God is near and we are inhabitants of eternity, and that there are other worlds and dimensions beyond this one. When God takes something away from us, we need to trust that He can give us something much better. Pain is often the most beautiful thing that God can give us, as it deepens us, ennobles us, and draws out the bitter and poisonous blood within us. We need to cast our burdens and anxieties upon the Lord, humble ourselves under His sovereignty, and wait patiently for Him to exalt us in due time. By blessing the hand of the Lord in our times of need, we can become gentle and nice Christians who can continue to move forward in faith.
We should bless the Lord and rejoice in Him instead of being bitter. As Christians, we know that our passport to heaven is stamped, and we can afford to endure discomforts in this life. We should pray to the Lord and trust Him to get us through life's challenges. Let us stand up and praise the Lord, and may our congregation become an exemplary, victorious, and enriched community. Let us receive hope from God for the road ahead.Let's go to the word of the Lord, let's go to the Book of Philippians, the letter to the Philippians. I want to take a little parenthesis before we start our or re-start our series on the Holy Spirit and the gifts, to invite you to meditate with me on this very profound passage of Scripture.
The word of the Lord says, in verse 4, “.... Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, rejoice, your kindness be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but let your requests be known before God in all prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..."
