Proclaiming the wonders of God
Miriam CarrasquilloRecently while chatting with a friend who hadn't talked for years, it brought to mind numerous miracles of healing that God has performed among my people. Of which I delight to testify, to exalt the wonders of my God, and that his name may be eternally glorified.
While we talked, he asked me about my relatives who had been sick. As she became interested in each one individually, I responded: she asked about my son, who had two operations as a child - and she thought he would suffer from this condition all his life. I replied that my God did a precious work on him, and he has never had a problem with it. He asked me about my sister who had been given several years to live, I replied that my God did a very powerful miracle, and he healed her completely. She also asked me about my old grandmother, whom she believed to be dead because of her age, and because of her health condition: she got cancer (God healed her), a stroke (God healed her) - Great, and merciful is my God. Greater than the heavens is his mercy (Psalm 108: 4). As we talked, my heart filled with deep joy, and my whole being worshiped the Lord.
All of us in one way or another have experienced God's mercy and great love in our lives. Let us meditate on it for a moment ... let us recall those miracles (big and small) that the Lord has done among us. Let's encourage you not to testify. Let us tell the world how great is our God, and how great is his mercy. Let's imitate the ancients in this. They fervently told the wonders that God did in their lives, passing their stories from generation to generation, always glorifying the name of God with their testimonies. Moses did it by expressing in the pentateuch the great things that God did with his people. Not remaining silent, he proclaimed in his writings how God led them to the promised land, making known his power and his great love for them. Christ commissioned his disciples to proclaim throughout the world, witnessing, and announcing the wonders of God (Mark 16:15). He also commanded a man he had delivered from an unclean spirit (Mark 5:19), to go and tell his people what had happened to him.
All of us, as his disciples, must do the same. Let us delight not in proclaiming the greatness of God whenever the opportunity arises. Let us strive, and be courageous (Joshua 1: 6). Let us bear witness to all the things he does in our midst. Let us proclaim his wonders, and his great love, so that the whole world may know how real Jehovah God, our God, is.
I will praise you, O Jehovah, with all my heart; I will tell all your wonders . (Psalm 9: 1)
