Architect's presentation February 15, 2009: The symbolism of the new sanctuary

RESUMEN: Glenn, an architect, has designed the new temple for Congregation Leon de Juda. The façade represents the natural, spiritual, and Christian life. The sanctuary will have an acoustical ceiling and individual seats. The vision is for a sanctuary for the glory of God, to expand Lion of Juda, and to build a refuge for transformation. There is a need to build now due to attendance pressure and constraints imposed by the city. The campaign encourages everyone to give something and to give generously in a promise of faith. The giving is linked to financial negotiations with banks, and the congregation's commitment is important. The campaign is based on three texts: Elijah and the widow of Zarephath, Haggai and building God's house, and Jehoshaphat and believing in God's prophets. The speaker prays for a spirit of generosity and joy in giving to God.

Glenn has been such a blessing to our congregation, God brought him literally to us he was like a frontal encounter and I had prayed to the Lord, years ago, if we're going to do this we need a good architect. And God provided one of the finest architects I think in the city of Boston, a young Christian, really gifted man and committed to the Kingdom of God and this beautiful friendship between him and the congregation and myself. And it's been a joy, I mean, part of the miracles that He has been doing.
