Sorines López
(Audio: Spanish)

SUMMARY: In this sermon, the speaker talks about the story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25 and highlights seven actions of a wise woman. The first action is reflection, to process information before reacting. The second action is giving, as Abigail gave David food when he was hungry. The third action is wisdom, as Abigail used her understanding to act wisely. The fourth action is humility, as Abigail humbled herself before David. The fifth action is courage, as Abigail went against her husband's wishes to do what was right. The sixth action is faith, as Abigail trusted in God's plan. And the seventh action is grace, as Abigail showed grace and mercy towards David. The speaker encourages women to trust in their wisdom from God and to reflect and act wisely in difficult situations.

The story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25 teaches us six wise actions that we can apply in our lives. Firstly, we need to reflect on our actions and words before speaking or acting. Secondly, we should wait for the right time to speak and act with wisdom. Thirdly, we should give offerings to the Lord with a grateful heart. Fourthly, we should prostrate ourselves and ask for forgiveness when necessary. Fifthly, we should speak wisely and adjust our tone of voice. Finally, we can prophesy and speak life into our situations. Abigail's actions show us how we can be wise women who bring about positive change in our families and communities.

In 1 Samuel 25, Abigail is depicted as a wise woman who takes seven actions that we can learn from. First, she offered herself as a servant to David. Second, she prostrated herself before David. Third, she humbled herself before David. Fourth, she asked for forgiveness on behalf of her husband. Fifth, she spoke wisely and reminded David of his promises. Sixth, she was willing to pay the price for her actions. Seventh, she acted on her wisdom. These actions led to David reconsidering his decision to seek revenge on Nabal and his household, and he eventually took Abigail as his wife. As women of God, we should reflect on where we need to act, offer ourselves, humble ourselves, speak wisely, and be willing to pay the price for our actions. We should also be faithful to God and declare His promises over our lives and families.

Do you know, that you have the ability to be a wise woman, you know? Amen. Remember that song "All I Need"? Sometimes we don't trust ourselves enough. But this morning I want you to go out, not just listening, but believing that you are a wise woman. It is not that it will be, but that she is already a wise woman. Because? Because God lives in you and when He is in us we walk with Him and have communication with Him and when we ask Him for things and when we go to Him; when we have important decisions or things to do, He gives us the wisdom to act.

I want to share seven actions of a wise woman. I want you to say with me, put your hand on your mind, your forehead – here, say: I have the wisdom of God. I have the wisdom from God to be a good wife, I have the wisdom to raise my children in this way, I have the wisdom and ability to have a happy and healthy marriage, I have the wisdom to have my parents healthy. Sometimes we have to talk to ourselves. You have to talk to yourselves every now and then. Even if no one listens to you, but sometimes repeating things like “the more you share, the more they reach one's heart”. I'm very Spanglish, so forgive me.

The speaker urges the audience to abandon a casual approach to Christianity and instead be passionate and insistent in seeking God. He uses the story of the Shunammite woman who persistently invited Elisha into her home as an example of how to approach God and emphasizes the importance of discernment in choosing a good church or ministry to support and bless. Additionally, he encourages men to take on spiritual leadership in their homes and communities.
