SUMMARY: Don't just pray to God to vent your emotions. Pray with the expectation that God will work and actively wait for His answer. Believe that God will provide the solution to your problem and don't doubt His ability to answer your prayer. Pray with purpose and faith, and don't just keep praying as if God had not heard you the first time. Show God that you believe in His power to work in your life.

Don't pray to the Lord simply to vent emotions. Pray with an active expectation that He is going to work. Pray, but then start looking for where the blessing and the solution to the problem will come from.

When you pray, get up from the place of prayer asking yourself, “Where will the answer come from? How will God manage to answer my prayer? And wait confidently until you see the vision realized. As Habakkuk declares in Chapter 2, “Although the vision will linger for a while yet, it hastens to the end, and it will not lie; Although it will take time, wait for it, because without a doubt it will come, it will not take long.

If you are going to pray to the Lord, actively wait for an answer; believe. There are many people who go to the altar to pray. They pray, they cry, they cry out; And they're still going back to the seat, and they're still crying, and wailing, and hurting. There is a time to pray, and there is a time to say, “Now. I believe that God heard my prayer ”. And so, be strong in the Spirit and actively wait for the Lord's blessing. Pray and believe that God will provide the answer. Pray with integrity and intentionality, and if you asked the Lord for something, believe, and hope for it. You may feel like you should keep praying and searching. But do not pray as if God had not heard you the first time, because in that case what you will be doing is simply unruly venting your despair, and that does not honor the Lord.

If we are going to cry out to God, let's cry out with purpose. The apostle James advises: “If anyone lacks wisdom, ask God for it… But ask with faith, not doubting anything; because he who doubts is like the wave of the sea, which is blown away by the wind and thrown from one part to another. Let no one do this think that he will receive anything from the Lord ”(James 1: 5-7). God expects that, if we say that we believe, with our actions we will show expectation that He will work.
