My god is holy

SUMMARY: Psalm 89 reminds me of the greatness of God and His immutability and faithfulness. He may discipline me, but He will never abandon me and will always love me. His Holiness overwhelms me, but He has promised to love me in spite of my shortcomings. I am His and He will always be my God.

As I read Psalm 89, my soul has been overwhelmed when I feel in my heart the greatness of my Father. My God is immeasurable in His Holiness. Reviewing verses 30-37, I realize his immutability and faithfulness, not influenced by my attitudes, but acting without prejudice in the face of my mistakes.

I know that my Father will discipline me every time I err, but I am sure that he will never abandon me. His rod will grind my bones, but not to the point of destroying me.
