Jehovah bless you and keep you

SUMMARY: The passage in Numbers 6:22-27 is known as the priestly blessing or the Aaronic blessing. It is a beautiful and powerful passage, but it is not magic or an incantation. It is an outline of a blessed life, and God's desire is to bless us. Satan may try to make us doubt this truth, but we must believe that the Lord loves us and wants to bless us. The Lord blesses us and keeps us, and we must choose to depend on Him instead of our own cunning. When the Lord blesses us, we become a sign and advertising for the Kingdom of God.

This message is about the Priestly Blessing found in Numbers 6:24-26. The speaker explains that we have the free will to choose who blesses us and in what way, and it is better to have the Lord bless us, even if it's not the most flashy blessing. The Lord promises to keep us from evil and to illuminate our darkness with the light of His face, even when the darkness is of our own creation. The speaker emphasizes the power of the presence of the Lord and encourages listeners to put the Name of God on them by invoking the Lord in a public way.

The prayer is a declaration to be under the Name of Jehovah and to submit to Him as sovereign over life. The speaker blesses individuals and cancels any curses or plans the enemy may have for their lives. They also declare every promise and blessing in the Bible applies to the individuals. A prayer is said to receive Jesus as Savior and to be led by Him. The speaker blesses the lives of those present and glorifies God for them.

The Word of the Lord is found today in Numbers chapter 6, beginning with verse 22: "The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Speak to Aaron and his sons, and say to them: Thus shall you bless the children of Israel, saying to them: The Lord bless you and keep you The LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, and He will put My Name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them."

And I will bless you.
