There is forgiveness still for you
Charles SpurgeonThe Lord thus makes His patient mercies known. It could be that the reader finds himself in the midst of a grave misfortune, and everything threatens his prompt doom. Let him then allow the text to bring him out of despair. The Lord now invites you to consider your ways, and to confess your sins. If He were a man, He would have cut you long ago. If I were to act now according to the way of men, it would be a word and a blow, and then you would come to your end: but it is not like that, because "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways. "
You correctly judge that He is angry, but He does not keep His wrath forever: if you turn away from sin and come to Jesus, God will turn away from His wrath. Because God is God, and not man, there is forgiveness still for you, even if you were sunk to your throat in iniquity. You have a God to deal with, and not a hard man, and not even just a righteous man. No human being could be patient with you: you would have weary an angel, as you have weary a grieving father; but God is patient. Come and try it right away. Confess, believe, and return from your wrong path, and you will be saved.
