Expect the best of God
Nancy G. MarquezOnce a man asked God for a flower and a butterfly; but God gave him a cactus and a caterpillar. The man was sad, because he did not understand why his request was wrong. Then he thought that God cares for many people, so he preferred not to question. After some time, the man went to verify the order that he had forgotten. To his surprise, from the thorny and ugly cactus, the most beautiful of flowers had been born and the horrible caterpillar was transformed into a beautiful butterfly.
This illustration shows us that God always does the right thing. His path is the best, even if it seems to our eyes that everything is wrong. Jeremiah 29:11 says that God's thoughts about us are thoughts of good and not of evil. If you asked God for one thing and received another, trust. Rest assured that HE will always give you what you need at the right time. Matthew 7: 7 says to ask and He will give us. Not always what one wants and asks of God is what one needs. God knows our ways and what is best for us. He acts on us according to his eternal purposes. Keep trusting and expect God's best when you ask.
Your current cactus will be your beautiful flower tomorrow; and your caterpillar today will be your beautiful butterfly!
