Do you know your identity?

SUMMARY: The scripture emphasizes the importance of obedience to God. This obedience is born from recognizing our identity as children of a just and loving father. We should think of God as a father and Jesus as an older brother who loves us and gave his life for us. Reflecting on this will bring light to our hearts.

The teaching presented by the scripture in these two verses is so obvious that anyone could notice the emphasis our God places on obedience. Only when we acquire the consciousness of identity; that you discover and accept yourself as a child of God, the child of a just and loving father, OBEDIENCE is born in your heart. The desire to obey God, as we recognize him as our Father, the best Father we can ever have.

Dear brothers and sisters, think of God as a father and of Jesus as an older brother who loves us so much that to save us from a death we deserve, he gave his life for ours. Let us reflect and there will be light in our hearts.
