God blesses the one who acknowledges His victory

SUMMARY: The victory of the believer is the ability to overcome the powers of darkness and not fall into temptation. Our victory is a result of faith and has merit only in the cross of Christ. We are not victors because we are in Christ, but because our union with him is the only guarantee of our victories. As Christians, we participate in the victories of Christ and understand that when we appropriate faith to walk alongside him, we are enabled to live a victorious life over sin, temptations, and against the fiery darts of the enemy of the cross.
One of the most amazing statements of God in his Word is found in the epistles of John when he affirms that "he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world" (1 John 5.5). I believe it and I invite you to believe it too. We have been begotten by God in the Spirit; we are the new creation in Christ, partakers of his divine nature (2 Peter 1.4) and we have inherited a spiritual DNA derived from his redeeming blood. We cannot boast of anything but Christ. Do we spiritually understand the supernatural dimension of our salvation? Do we honor the sacrifice of Jesus? God speaks through John and strikes us with another extraordinary statement: “Because everything that is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. " (1 John 5.5)

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word for victory literally means "salvation." The psalmist joyfully praised the Lord: “We will sing with joy for your victory (salvation), and in the name of our God we will raise a flag. (Ps 20.5a). This was the kind of victory that God brought to Israel against hostile and enemy forces that brought peace to the people. However, in the New Testament, the victory of the believer refers to the ability of those born in the Spirit, begotten in God by the blood of Christ, to overcome the powers of darkness and the machinations of the evil one and not fall into temptation. So our victory has only merit in the cross of Christ and is translated into spiritual blessings by the grace of God.
