SUMMARY: A sister in a church where she was required to wear a veil reached out for counseling as she did not feel it in her heart to do so. The author emphasizes the importance of focusing on what is in our hearts rather than external practices, and not causing stumbling blocks for those seeking God. God guides us in our personal relationship with Him, choosing what is useful and removing what is not. The author encourages us to not veil our hearts, as God wants them complete and naked.

Some time ago I received a request for counseling from a sister who was congregating in a church in which she was required to wear a veil. She did not feel it in her heart to do so and felt very discouraged because she was afraid of displeasing God if she did not use it.

This caught my attention and I realized how much we are still capable of giving more importance to the external aspect than to what our heart keeps.
