Now begins the best that God has for you

Summary: Psalm 1 teaches us the importance of having a personal relationship with God and living based on His Word. The psalmist begins by highlighting what the blessed person does not engage in, such as associating with evil, sinners, and mockers. There is a progression in the decline of a person, beginning with associations and ending with mocking. It is important to observe what we consume in our minds and hearts, as it can dull our spiritual desires and lead us down a path of evil. As children of God, we must redeem our time and take care of what we listen to, see, and with whom we associate. The blessed person lives a life under the blessing of God, even in times of affliction and struggle.

In this sermon, the speaker discusses the importance of delighting in and meditating on the word of God. He warns against the dangers of being too intellectual and humanistic in one's approach to the Bible, which can lead to rejecting simple truths and being mocked by non-believers. He emphasizes the need for Christians to cultivate an innocence and simplicity in their relationship with God and to have a hunger for His word. The speaker also uses the image of a tree planted by streams of water to illustrate the blessedness of a person who delights in the word of God and meditates on it day and night. Ultimately, the message is that the word of God is a source of nourishment and strength for the Christian, and that it should be the object of their meditation and reflection at all times.

The speaker discusses how as people age and face difficulties, they often lose their vigor and confidence. However, those who have a strong relationship with God and rely on the power of His word can be renewed and find strength even in old age. It is important to actively cultivate a positive attitude and confess the promises of God. The speaker encourages listeners to fight for their blessings and use the word of God as a tool to combat the enemy. Trusting in God's timing and living in His will brings emotional health and peace. Ultimately, people are called to bear fruit, to give, serve, bless, lead, and teach, and to have an impact on others.

Living a balanced life involves doing our part and letting God do his part in his time. Trusting in God's timing leads to a healthy and blessed life. The promise of God is that everything we do will prosper and we can enjoy the blessings of life while staying within God's will. Trials and difficulties are meant to shape us into strong warriors for God. We can have confidence in God's faithfulness and victory in all our battles. Let us receive and live out this message from God.

Psalm number 1 is the first psalm of a book that has dozens and dozens of Chapters and psalms so it must be interesting what God has to say in an exceptional way perhaps in this psalm. So let's read it together. Says:

“…Blessed is the man, blessed is the woman, who has not walked in the counsel of evil nor has she been in the way of sinners, nor has she sat on the seat of mockers, but in the law of Jehovah is her delight, and in his law she meditates day and night. It will be like a tree planted next to streams of water that bears its fruit in its season and its leaf does not fall and everything it does will prosper. Not so the wicked, who are like the chaff that the wind sweeps away, therefore the wicked will not rise in the judgment, nor the sinners in the Congregation of the just because Jehovah knows the path of the just but the path of the wicked will perish..."

Amen, amen. Yes, the Lord put this psalm in my heart this morning and that is why I want to share it with you. What I was saying a moment ago about it being the first psalm in a book that has many other psalms. And I think that one of the reasons why the theme is very appropriate to be the first is that it is like the foundation of life, everything that has the word and all its complexities are summed up, after all, in that relationship that we keep with God and with his word.

Because everything else, the rest of God's word develops that main idea of having a personal relationship with God and with Jesus Christ, of living based on his word and obeying it in everything we do. And then from then on, as I was saying, all the rest, from Genesis to Revelation teaches us how to develop, how to unpack, as Gregory translated, that basic relationship with God and with his word.

The other days I was preaching and I started speaking in English and Spanish and Gregory followed me, a new trick for our translation repertoire. And part of the issue is being able to be the same and also address English speakers so that they also hear from your voice, from your mouth the message that is being given.

The first thing that strikes me in this is that word Blessed is the man who did not walk. And that word in Hebrew sher means happy, lucky. It reminds me of another word that we use a lot when we speak and a word in Hebrew that we use, the word shalom that also has a lot of meaning of well-being, of peace of being blessed in God.

Jews to this day greet each other with that word shalom, which means may God's peace be with you, all God's blessings, may he be happy, and content in him in an integral sense. May you be healthy, may you be prosperous, may you be well-being, may you have a good financial situation, may your marriage go well, may your work prosper, all these things are included in that concept of well-being, health in God, peace.

Yes, brothers, it is important that we understand this, that when God calls us to his ways, when we enter under the citizenship of the Kingdom of Heaven, we have the right to expect blessing and blessedness for our lives.

There is a branch of Christian spirituality that is celebrated in a way I don't know, incorrect we believe, poverty and as a resignation that, well, whatever God says, a fatalism. Don't get me wrong, I believe that Christians have to be willing to submit to God's will and accept what he sends us, but on the other hand, we are not called to walk passively accepting a miserable state of life, surviving until we arrive. to the skies

The Lord Jesus Christ says, I have come so that they may have life and life in abundance. In other words, so that they are blessed. The Lord Jesus Christ also says that whoever believes in me will flow rivers of living water from within. And what is that image of rivers of living water if not that within you there will be an inexhaustible source of... when I think of rivers of living water I think of joy, I think of exuberance, I think of dynamism, I think of hope, those They are the words that this image of rivers of living water evokes in my feelings.

So according to your expectations of how your life will be in the Lord, so it will be done to you many times. Your expectations are like magnets that attract things into life for better or worse.

So if you live expecting a blessing, if you live with an expectation that is normal, I am a child of God, it is my normal and legitimate right to live under the blessing of God, this positive attitude of faith, expectation, attracts the blessing to the life as something natural

Now let me tell you something important, that does not mean that problems, difficulties, illnesses, storms will not come into your life, that a tree will not fall on the roof of your house, perhaps when you return, God forbid, and that you are going to have a hole in the ceiling, I am not saying that there is going to be absolutely no suffering in your life.

Yes, I think the problem with much of the prosperity preaching in our time and the blessing of the Christian is that it paints with too broad a brush and does not put the necessary nuances.

What the word of God says is that like the continuous balance of the Christian, when you take the losses and the gains, the balance of the account will always be fat, very healthy, very plump in the black, not in the red Do you understand that is the difference?

Warren Buffit is one of the richest men in the world and one of the most savvy investors in human history. Your personal wealth is worth trillions of dollars right now. However, if you look at Warren Buffit's career, you will see that many times he has lost tens of millions of dollars and that there have been situations in his life, when the stock market has gone down and when other things have happened, that he has lost. money, but if you always look at your balance, because you are a very clever man, your account is always very healthy and plump.

Investors know that it is not so much the change from day to day, but in the long term, the balance, that curve of your finances, that is what matters. They often do not allow themselves to be frightened or troubled by small situations, they are looking at the total course of the economy.

And so it happens in the life of the believer. We know that times of affliction will come in our lives, there will be times of struggle, trials in our marriage, in our health, but as Paul says in Chapter 8 of Romans, who will separate us from the love of Christ?

In Romans 8:35 he says, and he asks as if to brag a bit, he says: "...Tribulation or anguish, or persecution or famine or nakedness, or danger or sword..." In other words, everything that the devil and life give me want to shoot, it doesn't matter what it is, none of that is saying rhetorically, none of that will be able to separate me from the love of Christ Jesus.

And he is also admitting that those things can come into our life, they can come. He says, can those things separate us from the love of Christ? Look what verse 37 says, it says:

“…In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us…”

When I look at you, I know something, a little bit of your life, in some cases and the career of most of you, I know that there have been times of tribulation, anguish, difficulties, trials in your life. . Who here can raise their hand and tell me that there has not been a moment in their life when the water was reaching their necks and that they felt that, Lord, why do you allow this to come to my life? Of course.

Yes, but I believe that the difference is that the son of God, the daughter of God, despite the fact that they go through all these things, one kind of sees that spiritual health in their lives. You know that sooner or later they are going to get out of that storm and reach a safe harbor. And as in the case of Job, just as God sent a storm, he will also send times of refreshment, peace, rest and recovery from their losses. Because that is the destiny of the children of God, I believe that the man, the woman of God has to hope that their lives will go well, that is what the word says, it will go well for you.

The balance of my life will always be positive even if there are moments of loss here and there too. That is why he says, blessed is the person who is in that relationship with God.

I was afraid that I would not have enough material to preach, but it seems that there is enough because that word is only pregnant with teaching. The psalmist begins in a negative way by teaching what the person who receives those blessings does not do, what that person does not engage in.

I think he does it to highlight when he gets to the point of what the person who has those blessings does, why they get those blessings so that the difference is more clearly seen.

There is progress if one observes it, it says that blessed is the man who did not walk in the advice of evil, there is movement nor was he in the path of sinners, so a state of being in a certain environment, and finally, not even in a chair of mockers of ha sitting, it is located at the end, so there is a progress of movement, being and then being located in the wrong.

There is a progression in the decline of a person, it begins with associations, he says, I went to the advice of bad people, with what kind of person are they sharing, living together, certain associations that begin a progression but downwards.

It is understood right? [Inaudible] I'm having a good time, maybe because I'm preaching. Let's go together, God wants to speak to us.

The word advice means a lot. Talk about where our meditation is, what we are thinking about, what we are occupying our minds and hearts internally. We must ask ourselves the question of what we are thinking, what we are reading, what we are watching on television and in the movies, what is filling our council, our mind and heart.

Because many times maybe you wake up in the morning and you feel like ah, this life is worthless and I want to shoot myself and cut my wrists and why do I feel like this? Well, maybe think about that monster and vampire movie you saw an hour before you went to bed. Maybe that will give you an idea of why you feel that way.

Have you had the experience of losing the taste to read the word of God, losing the desire, you don't want to come to church, you don't want to pray, you don't want to sing? Sometimes it is because we have fed our minds and hearts with influences that dull, dull our spiritual desires. It is that we no longer have taste for the things of God because we are eating badly in the mind and in the heart. This influence must be observed.

We are called as children of God, we have to redeem the time and take advantage of the time to take care of what we listen to, what we see, the conversations we have, the friends we keep. It's not that, ah, no, you're not from the León de Judá church, I don't want to know anything about you, that we walk with our noses up all the time. No, the idea is that we are people who spend most of our time and our affection consuming things that strengthen us for the Kingdom of God and for the task to which we have been called.

Many people who walk in evil began like this, with bad companies. They say out there, tell me who you're with and I'll tell you who you are.

He was on the path of sinners, the person who thinks evil many times ends up doing evil. The person who ended up watching pornography on a Saturday night or thinking inappropriate thoughts or conversations that when they come to see, ends up one day in a black cape and a very big hat walking into an XXX store across the street, doing something that He didn't think he would ever do. Because? Because it started in his mind and ended up becoming an action.

And what we are going to observe, if one begins thinking about evil, doing evil, we begin to harden, our hearts harden, and we even end up mocking, our spirit rejects and mocks certain things that are of God. There is a progression for evil.

And you know what? It is interesting, brothers, this, I believe that this happens even among Christians when you consume a secular, excessively intellectual and humanistic diet because you like that and because perhaps you are a highly educated person, little by little there are things from the word of God that they are simple and innocent and something inside of you, although you cry out to Christ as your Lord and savior, something inside of you will begin to reject those simple things of the children of God, which often lends itself to mockery.

And some brothers in the faith can even be mocked because what they do seems a little silly, because it offends the intellectual side of our spirituality. For example, we can watch a video of people in a move of the spirit speaking in tongues, and maybe behaving weirdly in the video, and think, oh, how weird, I would never do that. And we feel superior and although it may not be your style of doing things, we must look at any worship of Christ with a bow. Perhaps even in the mess that we are observing they are adoring Christ, honoring him more than in a very elegant cult, but perhaps there is no simple heart, a child's heart before God.

And how many times have some of our brothers here, university students, or graduate students, very intellectual, in one of those weird services in León de Judá have said, wow, I'm glad my university professor is not here today. And how many have they had, maybe some university students who come because of the mess we live here in León de Judá sometimes with people falling, that one thinks, wow, it's good that my teachers don't see me here in this place.

It's a good thing my seminary theology professor doesn't see me here. That is why we want to cultivate an innocence, a simplicity before the word of God and receive from people who understand the mysteries of the word of God even though it does not come wrapped in a sophisticated package.

Am I explaining myself or am I getting too deep? Do you understand what I mean? That is important. The idea is, good luck, although here it refers above all to the person who does not love God, the person who is not in the things of God, who ends up making fun of everything that has to do with God because his heart is already hardened. and hates even the things of God.

By the way, there are, let me tell you. Just yesterday I was looking at the Weather Channel on the computer, and there was a blog where some poor evangelical who shouldn't have made the mistake of saying that this storm was an indication of God's wrath and that we have to be careful because there's a lot going on. things in the world, Katrina and all that, and the amount of mockery and insults that followed that comment, it was truly unbelievable. I was fascinated. I read about 50 different entries, because I was fascinated to see the curses, the mockery, the active and live rejection against this poor man who what he wanted was, I think foolishly, he was trying to tell people, look, something is happening in the world, there are many rare manifestations.

And that mockery is in our culture. If we mention certain truths of the word such as the spirit of the second coming, angels, demons, hell, people call us crazy, fanaticism and they make fun of us because that mockery is in the culture.

Now, look at the contrast, it is like a glass of cold water after three or four hours of thirst, it says: "... but his delight is in the law of the Lord...". Glory to God.

but rather Let all say but… in the law of Jehovah is his delight. Now, Jehovah's law evidently refers... the psalmist is writing at a time when the only Scriptures that were available centuries and centuries before the New Testament or other prophetic passages came, were those first books that are today in the Pentateuch, the first books of the Old Testament, then that law of Jehovah, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, which exposed the behavior that a person who feared Jehovah should follow.

Now, we can only say that in the word of God, in the Bible from Genesis to the apocalypse is his delight. And that is what I always tell my brothers, we have an incredible treasure in this word, let us take advantage of it and read it and learn about it because God has put it there for our instruction and our defense.

And I like the word law, the law of Jehovah because it refers to the fact that ultimately, brothers, the Christian life is obedience to commandments and principles and postulates that God has established for man and woman to walk by them.

The law is not created to spoil the party for people, or to make life more difficult, quite the contrary, the law is a protective element that allows life to work as it is designed to work.

The commandments of the Lord are established so that we live by them and be prosperous and blessed. It is like a protection next to the abyss so that we do not fall into it.

He says, blessed is the person who delights in the law of Jehovah, in it is... how beautiful the psalmist puts it,... in that law, in those commandments, in those principles is his delight.

Of course, Spanish is always better than English. What he is saying here is very strong, that at the end of everything where refuge is sought, where pleasure and rest are sought, the psalmist says, oh, I want to meditate on the law of Jehovah, there is my joy, I feel renewed, it is like a delight, a flavor for the word of God.

All intellectual study of the word of God must be based on an emotional taste that you yearn for the word of God, that you want to savor the word of God, you are hungry, you recognize that there is something special and alive that can bless you and this motivates the study we do

Read Psalm 119 and you will see that there is an attitude there in the psalmist who glorifies the word, enjoys the word, understands that there is nothing like the word and that makes the word open up and speak to him in an exceptional way.

I remember a long time ago that I heard that, it was when I was a child I think, I think it was my sister Mercedes Antonia who was eating something with such pleasure and someone said that this girl enjoys food so much that everything she eats benefits her and makes her fat because he likes it so much, he enjoys them so much. I believe that this should be the attitude of the children of God with respect to the word of the Lord. That is what leads to seize and delight and enjoy the benefits of that word.

What we are saying is that God is calling us to have this taste for the word of God, a reverence, recognizing that the word of God is alive and effective, that it is not a dead thing, it is a living thing that can transform us, and With this taste, this taste, this desire for the word, we are then motivated to study it, to scrutinize it, and to understand the meaning through the taste that motivates us and thus the word, the Lord enjoys opening the meaning of the word with this desire and hunger that we have.

I believe that there is no excuse with this I end that point, there is no excuse for a Christian of time not to know from cover to cover the themes, the characters, the divisions and the flow of the word of the Lord. I believe that this is absolutely essential, it is important.

The other nights, Tuesday or Thursday night, I was in a men's leaders meeting in my office, and I made a comment about some obscure text in the Bible, and I asked them, I didn't say the right word and I asked them, leaving the sentence unfinished, and I was overjoyed that everyone there, practically everyone, knew the answer to that. I said, wow, I am among people who know the Bible and that gave me great pleasure, it gave me joy.

I want León de Judá to be a church characterized by people who study, know and delight in the word. It is that the word of God is like that, the word of God has so much flesh, it has so much that we can spend a whole day meditating on it.

It says here that on his law he meditates day and night. You are not only in the word when you are reading it open in front of you, the word of God and the principles of the word and the Kingdom of God must be the object of your meditation and reflection practically at all times of your life.

I believe that a healthy, healthy, overflowing Christian spirituality is one in which people are continually immersed, reflecting on the principles of morality, of the spirit, of the eternal, of the ethical, those thoughts should always, always abound in us. , meditate in different ways.

And even at night, at 3 or 4 in the morning, sometimes one stays up a little late, wakes up because they heard a noise or subconsciously in the street or something like that, and in those moments between sleep and going back to sleep And being awake, I delight, brothers, I rejoice at that time in thinking about the word of the Lord, some principle of the Christian life, my ministry, the church, and I find in that, that numbs me, calms me down and it gives me peace, I am thinking about the things of God. That is cute.

Instead of being in the council of the wicked, why don't you dwell in the council of the word of God. In verse 8 of Philippians, chapter 4, the Apostle Paul says, “Furthermore, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good name, if there is any virtue, if there is something worthy of praise in this think…”, meditate on this, in other words.

That is the root of a healthy emotional life by the way, when the word of God is your meditation, that word is running within you, it is blessing you, it is strengthening you, it is nourishing you, it is forming you, it is strengthening the rods of your psyche. That is… the rods of your psyche, how nice that was.

That is like that final image that he added is the word of God, meditation is like an underground river that is always behind our soul feeding us emotionally.

Now what happens to the person who delights in the word and meditates on it day and night? We have already seen that it is blessed. Now, what does it mean in terms of the psalmist, how does the psalmist illustrate that blessedness of that person. Don't worry, I'll finish in 50 minutes. Nobody is waiting for us, brothers, he has to go, he is blessed.

I feel comfortable here. How many feel comfortable? Verse 3 says, it will be like a tree planted next to streams of water. What a beautiful image. Think of a strong and healthy tree. What a beautiful image of a strong tree next to streams of crystalline water, throwing its roots into this water, drinking it, receiving all that water and strengthening itself in this fertile and healthy land. So beautiful.

That tree doesn't need a truck to come with a hose to spray it every morning and at night, because it says right there, no, don't worry, man, if I have water here that gives me a drink all the time, so forget that.

It's that idea, and so many images come to mind. Christ says, once again, whoever believes in me will flow rivers of living water from within, from within, he will have it inside, he does not have to go to a river to bathe or drink water, no, he will have it within he or her He doesn't have to go to the beach on Saturday, the beach is within him, my brothers.

That idea that the life of God, what you need for your well-being is already within you. You don't have to go to a place to get it, you don't have to get drunk with a bottle of rum or go to a disco and artificially put a drug on yourself or get stimulated, or whatever it takes to make you feel like, okay , the world is fine, that's good, I feel good, I feel I'm worth it. No, all that, the sense of value, of belonging, of knowing where you are going, where you come from, of being accepted by God, of knowing that your death or your life, you belong to God, all of that is within you, You don't need anything artificial to make you feel good because you are fine. That is the difference.

You have the disco inside of you like a fanny pack with 100 thousand records. It will be like a tree planted by streams of water.

Years ago I saw an image that stuck in my mind to illustrate this and it was of a person cutting a concrete sidewalk with a metal saw and the temperature was hot, and while that saw entered the concrete to cut it, someone I was spraying water on it so the saw wouldn't overheat and damage the motor or stall the saw. And that is the idea, that when you are in Christ Jesus you always have water refreshing you because life tires you and burns you, you know? But when you have refreshing water inside you, that makes your razor never burn.

I understand this, brothers, when as the years go by, it's not that I understand that, but they tell me, as life hits you and you have troubles, difficulties, you've had a few traumas and scares in your life, what's up? with most people? It is losing its vigor, it is losing that youthful confidence that you had when you were 20 years old, that you believed that you could take the world by the bows, that everything was going to be fine for you, that all that awaited you was a rainbow. at the end of the road. When life gives you a few blows, which we all receive, as the years go by, people lose that exuberance and that makes their chemical and hormonal systems begin to produce less adrenaline, less things.

My theory is that a part of the reason why people lose that vitality and strength as they age, is not necessarily because it is biological decrepitude, but because the mind begins to lose its vigor and there is a number of of things that you did before that now you are afraid of doing and there are things that you used to undertake that now, you have to be careful, what happens between this and that. And then you give subconscious messages to your systems and your systems see that you don't do as much, so you don't send as many reserves or produce as many reserves, then you weaken and weaken because the problem is in your attitude because life gives you It is sipping energy because you do not have water to refresh you, to strengthen you and to bless you, and to renew your strength.

It is a psychosomatic process, there is a psychological part in that change. However, I believe that the person who has the word of God as his power, his source of power and his nourishment, many of that impoverishing impact of life is cushioned by his relationship with God and with the word and its vigor, knowing that the future is fine because one is in the hands of God, that my eternity is secure because I have Christ as my Lord and savior, that even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear because Jehovah is with me. All of this should be a source of renewal and strength and vigor in us every day.

And a lot of that has to do with an attitude that you have to cultivate. You have to tell yourself every day, I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Take a Philippians 4:13 pill every morning. Before, in all these things I am more than conqueror in Christ Jesus [inaudible] and in the night. You have to confess the word and the promises of God, you have to actively cultivate that positive attitude in your life. You have to meditate on those verses full of meat that are in the word of God that induce a positive, confident, secure attitude. Eat that good diet, the promises of the word of God and your mind, and your spirit will be renewed and you will have new strength as the word of the Lord says.

That's why this morning you read the newspapers and read the disasters and you go out into the street, a tree is going to fall on your car and it's going to fall on your head exactly [inaudible], don't go out. I understand, you have to be careful, but you also have to be a little more aggressive in life, you have to believe. I will always, until I can't, continue to believe that God is more powerful within me. I want to live from a position of confidence, aggressiveness and expectation of God's blessing because I know that this is where my strength, vigor and hope lie. I want to cultivate those promises and see them as the energy that enters my life renews me, gives me more strength. The older I get the more dangerous, because the power of God is with me. Amen.

The Apostle Paul says that although the outer man is wearing away, the interior is being renewed day by day. Because? Because it is connected to the power of God, to the water of God that renews and strengthens it.

You young people who are there, I see a group of young adults there, look, if you want to reach strong and joyful and vigorous old people, and full of courage and joy, stick to the energy of the Kingdom of God, positively confess the word of God and don't think that because you get old you have to be decrepit and limping and crawling. No, in Christ Jesus we have the power to have a vigorous, lucid, strong old age in the Lord.

I am nourished and I make passages like this one the object of meditation, for example, which says, “the righteous will flourish with the palm tree, will grow like a cedar in Lebanon, planted in the house of Jehovah will be strengthened even in old age will bear fruit. They will be vigorous and strong to declare that in Jehovah there is no justice but there is faithfulness. Because? Because when a man or a woman reaches a healthy and lucid old age, that declares the fidelity of God's promises.

I believe that we have the right to expect that, brothers, of our life, they are promises that are there in the word of God. He says that boys get tired and tired, young people falter and fall, but those who wait for Jehovah will have new strength. Its roots are planted next to streams. And their vitality is not waning, on the contrary, the roots are absorbing a source of life to them, which is renewing them despite the difficulties and sufferings of life, they are new, every day.

It's like a tree, don't forget that image. Your life is like a tree, you are a tree and you are planted by streams of water. God took you out of the desert, took your tree, reached in and opened up the whole earth and cleaned root by root until the tree was left, and then he sent a powerful angel who took that tree out of the desert and took it to a place and planted it next to currents of fresh and blessed water. Amen. Amen.

Brothers, if you have to go, go away, I am going to continue preaching alone. I want to honor the word of God, I am declaring something here in the name of Jesus for this church and for the Kingdom of God. I want to prophesy the word of God this morning. I am declaring this word to heaven and hell, and to the angels too, in the name of Jesus. This word must be announced because that is the basis of the life of the son of God.

The word says the path of the just is like the light of dawn, which increases until the day is perfect, not until it decays but is perfect. That is the expectation, that is your inheritance, that is your promise, that is what you have the right to live. If you are living in something else, you are not enjoying what God has promised for your life.

If you're not enjoying it fight until you have it and move into it and say, it's a reality in my life. Don't settle for mediocrity. Do not settle for a life lived from the plate to the mouth, there is a tiny spoon, eat good and from the earth and enjoy. And if you're not enjoying it, reveal yourself and throw a dog and say, why not? that's what God tells me I have a right so [inaudible] to the devil [inaudible] right to steal the blessing that God has promised for my life.

You have to fight for your blessing because the enemy is going to come and he is going to want to stand in front of you so that you do not enter into that image that God has given. Life is going to make an effort in many ways so that it takes away the joy of the Lord, who is your strength. The devil is going to want to steal your health, he is going to want to steal your sufficiency, he is going to want to make you feel that you are worthless, that God does not love you and you have to tell the devil, you retire in the name of Jesus because that is my right, that is my inheritance, that is my promise.

You must fight for the blessing. Life has inertia, goodness resists. The devil is going to try to steal this blessing, we have to wrestle with him, we have to undermine the blessing, we have to fight and fight for it.

I understand more and more every day, there is an enemy who does not want you to receive those blessings and every day he stands in front of you and you either go around him or go the other way, but no, what God wants you to do step on it and walk over it until you reach the blessing that God has given you.

We have a little vacation home in Maine and there is a path that I like to run and there are some houses around it like it is in the countryside sometimes people let their dogs loose and on several occasions those dogs came to bark at me and you know what? I even began to be afraid of walking on that blessed path, so much so that I liked it. They come to threaten you and bark at you and all that, and I found myself avoiding going that way. I said, no, man, what is this? The Dominican came out, but hey. And I found me a stick about three and a half feet long, that wasn't too heavy that it wouldn't weigh too much when I was running, and that was flexible and hurt. When I go to run I take that stick, or I deposit it in a place and when I go there near where the dogs are, I take the stick, it is waiting for me there.

And you know what? Once one or two dogs wanted to come and since they saw the stick, [inaudible]. The devil needs to see a stick because otherwise he will always be barking at you, nipping at your heels, bothering you, following you, throwing stones at you to take away your joy. You have to teach him the stick of the word of God. You have to learn authority, that when the devil comes with bad breath to talk to you and tell you that you are worthless, you are going to be sick all your life, you were born and come from poor people and you are going to continue being poor, you have to tell him what the word says, as Jesus Christ said, get away from me Satan. Use the word of God, fight with the word of God, grab the words [inaudible], remember it, squeeze it in the mouth of Satan and the demons and you will see that they leave you alone and your life begins to flow.

Life says that no one can loot the strong man's house until he first binds him and then he can loot his house. And many times he is very comfortable in our house and he does not want to go out, you have to tie him up first so that then the blessing can come into your life. Use the word of God to keep your blessing, so that what God has promised you becomes a reality in your life. Confess the word, believe it and wait for it and you will see that it will come into your life.

The Bible says that this person bears his fruit in his time. Oh my brother, you have been called to bear fruit in your life. You have been called to advise the weak and depressed. You have been called to have children who love God and who grow up as honest, hard-working and successful men and women. You have been called to bring others to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and to teach others in the way of the Lord.

You have been called to bear fruit of justice and blessing to humanity. You have been called to be a doer of good works in your life, not just a consumer or an anonymous person. You have been called to bear fruit, to be successful in life and to have an impact on others.

Christ says that I have appointed you to bear fruit and that your fruit may last. You have not only been called to consume and receive, but you have been called to give, to serve, to bless, to lead, and to teach. Prosperity and blessing is also blessing others and giving and sharing with others. So expect in your life that you are going to bear fruit and you have to work and you have to live your life believing and hoping and not being content except with a life that bears fruit to bless the world in which you find yourself.

Now, it says here, that it bears its fruit in its season. We believe that God has his moments and times and we live according to the rhythms and purposes of God and God manages when his moment is going to happen is perfect.

How nice to learn to trust God's moment and time. That if I am not enjoying certain blessings right now I can trust that in due time God will take care of certain things and there are certain waves that I can rest on.

A key to psychological and mental health and also learning to trust God's processes, that God does not do things overnight, sometimes there are long processes and we can be calm and rest. For example, the single girl who is expecting her partner, a couple expecting their baby, people expecting a job, or a blessing they have sought. Instead of living eagerly and knowing that my God takes care of it, it is not that we are passive, but we are not eager either, we can rest in God and know that he will take care of it, that my life is in his hands and I do not have to take the things in my own hands. What rest, what peace, what emotional health in this.

How to live life in that healthy balance between doing your part and letting God do his part in his time, under his lordship. The person who is in the axis of God's will is a person whose life is developing according to God's time. That person is healthy because they don't worry, they don't burn, and one sees that they prosper and are blessed, but things come at their time, in their time and in God's way, and no one can take that away from you.

There is a place of blessing, of understanding that we are in balance, between my effort and what I have to do and God's effort for me and I have learned to fight, but also to rest and put myself there trusting in God, faithful to God, but also without eagerness and blessings come. We become like a magnet for God's blessing again because we have found that place of trust in him.

That concept, in its time, that's a topic for 10 books [inaudible]. He says, I'm going to end on verse 3 because the rest is pure secondary elaboration. He says, and his blade will not fall. In the universe, scientific laws of decadence, entropy, of chaos prevail, that things move to be more chaotic, not more orderly, and things decay. But in Christ, who makes all things new, we can trust that the process changes, it changes to be a process of life and even in old age the leaf does not fall.

My brothers, I beg you, take this message and listen to it 10 times, not because I preach it, because this is the inheritance of the children of God that has been declared this morning for the people of God.

It is a message from God to us about our inheritance, listen to this message, live this message. And fight for that [inaudible] message.

He says that his leaf does not fall, in other words, brothers, there are blessings that God has given you that you do not think that they have to die with old age. Your joy does not have to die with old age, your vitality does not have to die with old age, your ability to bear fruit does not have to die with old age.

We can hope well for life that joy and vitality and laughter and influence with others do not have to wane. On the contrary, this can grow in us, Jesus has given us life in abundance and the leaf does not fall, everything we do will prosper.

You and I want to be like those old men that people want to come to the party and sit there because they like to have them there because they laugh with them and they're nice and they inspire confidence and they want to be with them because those people are stolen warriors. They have fought many battles and look how good they look and what joy they bring to a meeting. You want to be like that. You know what? You can be like that. That is my promise to you, that is what I want for you, that is why I sent my Son to die on the cross so that that victory, that blessing, that blessedness may be yours. That is your inheritance, that is your promise.

What a beautiful ending, he says, and everything he does will prosper. Hallelujah! That is a very outrageous promise. Everything you do will prosper. I don't think there is anyone who can say that they have done everything in their life... but look, brothers, I can say that I am almost close to what I undertake in the name of the Lord, God blesses and prospers it and not ends in failure. That's why I get into the trouble that I get into many times.

I can almost say that everything I have undertaken in my life, God has blessed and prospered. God has given me the desires in my heart, the things that I have desired and that I have put my affection in them, incredibly the day has come when I have held it in my hands and I have said like David, Lord, it is so that your works with humans?

Over and over again I have proven the truth of these promises, of things that I have longed for and have struggled for years and years, specific blessings, projects in ministries, owning a building where the people are, a graduation, so many things and I have fought and waited for years and I can say that God is faithful. He answers, he blesses, we are not always perfect but we love the Lord desperately and the Lord is faithful, he makes everything we praise prosper.

God has told you, son or daughter of God, everything you do I am going to bless, I am going to prosper, I am going to support you. When your enemies come against you, I will be like a strong wall of protection around you. When the devil wants to throw a cold mist that turns off your heart and your feelings, I'm going to be that sun that dries up that moisture and makes you feel that you're safe and firm in me, the enemy has no power over you.

When life wants to turn off your illusion and tell you, I've reached the end, maybe then when God is going to give you the desires of your heart and what you've always expected and he's going to tell you, you know what? Not everything is over, now the best thing I have for you begins.

God always reserves the best wine for the end of the party. Let's stand up, brothers, God receives this word because I have thrown it with a seed inside your heart and your spirit and I throw it like this also to those who have listened to this sermon this morning and I declare that word of God in your life. Receive it this morning.

Enjoy your life. enjoy yourself. Declare the blessings of the Lord, enjoy this world because it was made for you. everything in this world is for you. Enjoy it within the framework of God's will.

That is the blessing, for that God sent his Son, so that you have happiness, fullness of joy, triumph, growth, development, victory in all your trials. God gives you proof because he wants a powerful soldier, a man, a woman with his medals, who walks proud because his God has been strong and has won and has battled, and has fought, but has emerged victorious, who walks and talks with authority because he knows what it's like to fight for him [inaudible] and beat him over and over again. [Inaudible] of the world as its royalty and its military bearing that has won it in twenty thousand battles in which God has always given it victory and that is why your test comes, that is why difficulties, because God is forming you, God is forming a warrior, God is forming a woman of honor, God is forming a teacher, an old woman who blesses the world with her walk. And that's why trials come, because God wants a giant, he doesn't want a little boy who breaks from anything. God is with you. Get out of here tonight, even if the storm rages, even if the tree in your house falls, blessed are you [inaudible] your meditation and your foundation. God bless you.

Oh Father, thank you. Thank you, Lord, for your word, thank you because you have spoken to us this morning, instead of a stone you have given us bread, instead of a crumb you have given us good food, Lord, on our tables. You have provided everything necessary for this meeting, your presence has not been lacking, Lord, in our lives and we thank you and bless you, Lord, we glorify you. Lord, may this word not fall to the ground, but may it become a reality in my life and in the lives of my brothers in this church, Lord, and of your people throughout the earth who love your word. We love you. Be blessed on this day, Father. We move in your shalom and in your beatitude and in your blessing. And we give you all the glory and all the honor. Hallelujah!
