Psalms 97:10 • Acts 9:31
The dust begins to settle, the battle cries have ceased A bone-deep weariness, a fragile, hard-won peace My armor feels so heavy, my spirit longs for ease To slip into the shadows, and find my soul release
Oh, this quiet isn't slumber, this calm is not the end It's a sacred staging ground, where we prepare to mend To build our spirits stronger, with truth held in our hand For God preserves His people, across every land
The early church remembered, the price they had to pay They didn't waste the stillness, or let their purpose sway They grew in strength and numbers, walked in the fear of God With hearts that hated evil, beneath His guiding rod
So fight the urge to wander, when comfort calls your name The Spirit's gentle stirring, ignites a holy flame To study and to listen, to speak the living Word To deepen every purpose, until His call is heard
Oh, this quiet isn't slumber, this calm is not the end It's a sacred staging ground, where we prepare to mend To build our spirits stronger, with truth held in our hand For God preserves His people, across every land
He preserves us not for survival, but for His light to spread From quiet strength to multiplication, by every word He's said His hand is always working, to build His Church anew Let peace become our purpose, in all we say and do
